Yeah it's idiotic lol....Don't watch so much damn TV and get influenced by it then....You should vote cause u GIVE A FUCK....The reason why there's so much emphasis on voting this year is because it is probably THE most important election of our LIFETIME....Look at what has happened in the last 4 years dog...Can u say you're COOL with it all? I think not.

And apology accepted....But it still doesn't change the facts...

I wouldn’t say it’s idiotic not to vote; for one, it’s you’re right to choose NOT to vote, number two, what happened in 2000? What about the 2-4 MILLION votes across the country that were not counted? What about the 90,000+ african American votes illegally thrown out in Florida? Can you blame people for not wanting to vote in this Undemocratic system?

They say this shit every four years. Listen, I’m with on voting, but I disagree that any real change can be made by simply voting…we need to do a whole lot more than that. Anyways, this election is not that severe. My history books and my elders tell me of a time when a war was going on with 50,000+ dead American troops, over 2 million+ dead of the “enemy”. It was a time when our leaders were assassinated by our own government. It was a time when people who were for peace and equal rights were savagely beaten or murdered. People voted for LBJ, the equivalent of Kerry at the time. What happened? Not a damn thing. Change was only made by the struggle and courage of the people of amerika who demanded change. Voting did absolutely nothing. Nixon is the man who ended the war...does that mean Nixon was for peace? lol, hell no. he was as crooked and right wing as they come. But he was FORCED to end the war by the people of america, and the world. Nixon also did more for civil rights than any other president. Does that mean he was for equal rights? lol, hell no. it's because the people of america demanded it...

yer an IDIOT if you don't vote....Don't bitch about who takes office if ya don't vote too...

The supposed point in voting is that you are given a choice. You are supposed to be given a choice in voting for who you think best represents your views, the way you want to see the country governed, etc.

If there is NOT a candidate that you believe would represent your views, govern the way you would like, etc; then there is always the additional choice available to you . . . not to vote.

Not voting can be as much of a political statement as voting for just that reason. It represents the great disenfranchisement you have with the system.

Why do you think there is not a hole to punch, a box to check, circle to fill in, OR EVEN THE OPTION to write in, none of the above? Because they want you to believe there is no other option than to vote between the choices forced upon you.

That proves how much of a political statement not voting is! If it were not political, then there would be no fight to keep a NONE OF THE ABOVE option off the ballot. If it were not political they wouldn't go out of their way to void your entire ballot if you wrote in none of the above.

But because we are sooooo free and must vote or die  we are prevented from casting a vote to express dissent. Instead we are forced to not participate in order to dissent.

Anyone has a right to criticize at any time, voter or non voter. That's supposed to be what makes this country free!

To those that don't believe in political freedom even if the choice is not to choose at all.

Also
to those that believe simply voting every 4 years is the end all be all to political action in this country like 2-0-Sixx said above

If you skip on the presidential election, you'll be skipping on a bunch of other shit too...Not to metion that this election will probably decide two more supreme court justices as well as the chief justice of the SC...I don't look with hopefull eyes upon the prospect of Clarence Thomas running that show...just my opinion.

FUCK VOTING!!!! voting in a TWO party system is noting more than a big fasade. the US needs to adopt a porptional representation system in which each party is represented by the proportion of votes that they recieve. So instead of only having a democrat and rebuplican or maybe an independent to vote for in the house and senate each party would get as many representatives as their proportion of votes. if the green party got 6 percent of the votes and their were 100 seats avialable they would hold 6 seats. if the socialist party got 4 percent they would 4 seats so eveyone is REALLY represented.....until then fuck voting, and fuck puff daddy
