OK maybe this is impossible technically, but how about this
Some how there is a "Bullshit post" meter....if people vote the post as bullshit, then it is erased , therefore saving space (i think...)
1 vote per screen name....set it up kinda like one of the polls...if a thread gets voted out buy say 10 people...15??? then its deleted and that person has to accept the fact that they werent accepted...also....maybe the same thing with banning people.....if a person is requested to be banned by enough people with valid reasons, then his IP address is blocked from accessing the site....

Anybody should be able to post here, whether they have 5 posts or 500, but I agree there needs to be some more moderators... Shit has just been out of hand lately. I think Tact Out and Doxx should be added as moderators, maybe even a couple of others... I'm not sure that any one, two or even three people will be on here enough.
As far as what gets deleted, leave a locked Vital post at the top saying what won't be tolerated... If someone posts some shit on that list, it's gone. If they post a topic asking why it was deleted, a mod replies with a link to the rules and it's locked. If the board gets regulated like that for a month or so people will get the idea.

First off let me just say that I love it here, but to me the original BART board belongs over at raptalk.net
With that said I think J-Locc and Doxx should moderate the board over there.... there's a lot of people that don't know shit about rap that post on BOTH B.A.R.T.'s and it's bullshit. I think it should be a tight community where if you post one or two posts that are bullshit you get banned. It's to the point where when I'm going thru a thread I only read the responses of screen names I KNOW. That's a joke.... Anyway yeah it's just an internet board but to me and a lot of others this has always been a tight knit community where we've stomped out the bullshiters that post.
My suggestion: Put someone like J-Locc and Doxx in charge and let them ban anyone they want... we all know they'd make great choices

If Raptalk.net was what it used to be, I'd agree, but it looks like Siccness Jr. now with all the artist boards, etc. The original BART was just like what, 5 boards? It's not the same anymore, raptalk.net is completely different anyway so it doesn't matter to me if it's here or there... I actually prefer it here now.
yeah raptalk.net seems to be more directed to rap music in general, where BART is geared for Bay area rap......Raptalk.net doesnt have the same feel, i feel outta place when postin over there, this feels like the real BART from back in the day.....maybe cause after the shutdown this is where i held up ever since
You know what? If it ain' t Bay Area Rap Talk related...kill the thread...if the board is called BART...we should keep to what the board was put up here for...create some other section where you can post the bullshit stuff or non-related BART stuff...my 2 cents.

everything goes in cycles... but BART hasn't been FUN since like 1999 or so . it has seem to have become full of politics and the "networkin" term has been wildly overused. I think the influx of fan turned rappers & producers has watered down a majority of the genuine fan and support topics that always thrived on BART. Nowadays... everyone raps or has a buddy that raps and that seems to have changed many of their point of views.
It would be tight to see Grey V, DJ Chrome & DJ Myster E come back and help resurrect the BART tradition (if you will) I was a heavy player in it from 98-2000.. and helped to hold it together.. and Vampz extended his hand to me and BART and added it to the Siccness in a transition period and from that point it seems things turned. As you can see BART has 2X's the amount of posts as the Siccness... so indeed it is still popular... but I want to restore the luster and vintage qualities of it with the site that accompanied the board. All I can do is hope.

^^^^ i hear you, but even the fan turned rapper or producer, sure its watered down, but i dont think they are at fault here, i really think th e issue is we are not taking action like we used to on the old bart..... we used to not let anyone slide with some bullshit....
remember the trade board???? the fuccin trade board was better then ebay!!!! i knew like everyone on there, we had the site (www.funkseason???.com) where we had the list of good traders bad traders..... i mean, it aint like t hat anymore.... and with the promotion im doin for the bart/siccness comp, it aint gonna get easier, cuzz more people are gonna come to this site everyday, and same with the promotion everyone else does..... we need to just moderate the board better..... if we can keep this place in line for at least 8-10 hours a day, you'll see this site turn around, im sure!!!

I agree 100% with Tact and this whole thread. There's too many "lil punk rebels" that come on this board actin like they're the shit. Postin some dumb ass threads and actin like King! All the BART OGs and regular posters (I been on here for almost a year) need to make sure these fools learn the ropes before they can post on the regular.
