i screamed "WHY THE BLACK GUY GOTTA DIE FIRST!" at 300 when they pushed the messenger in the hole and the theatre bursted out laughing.

sparta dosent care about black people.

TMNT already got leaked on the internet and so did 300. you might as well just watch them at home.

The sound and video quality is SHIT on the cam, and regardless of plot holes and inaccuracies...300's landscape and background deserve theatre veiwing.

The messenger was Persian. So was Xerxes. Xerxes never dies in the film, but all the Spartans do.

Hollywood hates Greeks.

this is a movie though, man
they prolly werent even really persian....

i doubt everyone from sparta was really of spartan descent, nah mean?
hollywood fakes it all the time.

and i didnt say xerxes died, im talking about the messenger.

the whole concept of "why does the black guy die first?" is about less screen time/less money....in that sense id look at skin color of the actual actor instead of the role he's playing in the movie...just to explain.

After that you've gotta expect to be called a fag.

I'm interested in History as well. But again this is not a movie to see if you're looking for anything History related. Other than the Spartans existed, the Persians existed, and at one time their armies fought each other is about as far as history goes for this movie. But again I wasn't expecting historical accuracy so this was not part of the let down of the movie; nor was it part of the draw.
Yeah, the uniforms man not their bodies..

It was a good movie and it was close to be historically true

300 spartans + 1000-7000 Allied Greeks
100,000-1 Million persians

Spartans did get rid of deformed, sick or weak children

Spartans had Helots (slaves that serverd sparta) - didnt show this in movie though

spartan uniform and helmet was very similar

spartans trained the men to fight from a very early age

sparta had no walls gaurding it's city

phalanx formation was used partially in the move (defending the first wave)

hmm a few more brain is tired..think of some

I know, i was just flippin you shit. Can we say the "the black guy dies first" even though he was playin a Persian? And if thats the case, Xerxes was played by a black man too....and he NEVER dies in the movie. So does that balance it out? Cus alotta white guys (Greeks) died in there, 299 to be exact.

EDIT: heres any interesting fact, the guy who plays Xerxes is latin and looks white. HOLY SHIT that was a heck of aot of movie make-up!!!

GrindHouse MUst see!!! Movie Theater! lots of Gore...on the first movie ..commercials were funny ass fuk! second movie too much talking but it got to the point! Two ThumBs Up!
Tarantino is a "dialogue" man. Resivoir Dogs is a perfect example of that. ALOT of talking and VERY little actual action. But he does it so well that you forget about the action. Look at his films, Kill Bill had a lot of voilence in the first one, but the second one had MUCHO amounts of set-up talking.

tbh the previews of Grindhouse look over the top, the chick with a gun leg did it for me.

And about Xerxes, I spun out when I saw the actor who played him, he's white! no wonder he didn't die!!!
