Well, the puta does sort of make a point. The media certainly did blow up the whole West vs. East thing. It's just makes the perfect news heading. That alone definitely helped stir up the violence and murders of Tupac/Biggie. As far as the Gov't having some say in all this, I don't know. Anyways, it's still all up to YOU as the individual whether you want to commit violent acts or not. The Gov't/media could instigate, but it doesn't mean I'm going to do it. Murder, stealing,.. is wrong, no matter what.

some of you all are a bit off.

"gangsta rap" was not a term invented by the media. We all should know that its roots are in L.A. and it was never stronger than when it was coming straight outta compton.

Now, the "east vs west" was most definitely fueled by the media, but was it solely a "gangsta rap" thing, when east coast rappers don't even consider themselves "gangsta" rappers?

gangsta rap did come its stongest comin straight outta compton.. but it starting in LA now that i dunno, Schooly D was gangsta rappin way before there was an NWA, he used to make tracks about his set the PSK "Park Side Killaz".. u dont remember the tracks PSK and Gangsta Boogie.. that was like 83 and 84 and he was frm Philly... i even remember watching a history of gangsta rap dvd a couple years ago and they labeled him the father of gangsta rap.. i dunno, i feel what u sayin tho..

you dissing girl for making a valied statement? you guys aint serious.

Read the whole interview you guys are misinterpriting what shes saying. And before you start dissing me i dont totally agree with her, she is just saying shit that alot of black figure heads have been saying for years just with less clarity and insight.
