^ Co-signed. If you want a quality cover then you have to cough up the money for it, like Thirdeye253 said, this isn't just a hobbie, we eat off this, a lot of years are behind what we do and a lot of time and effort goes into it. I'm sure the exposure on the winning cover would be great for a graphic artist trying to come up, but realistically that doesn't do anything for business and why would anyone with clientelle waste their time doing free cover work? I don't know about anyone else but I don't have time for that. Regardless of who the RAP ARTIST is on the record. This is a business just like anything else. Graphics, Printing and Design are probably the most important and difficult part of an optical disc project. You have to pay for a professional job, otherwise you get junk. Most up and coming graphic artists (even if their graphics are mind-blowing or wack as fuck) don't know the first thing about the technical aspects behind computer graphic design for print. Anyways goodluck with your contest/competition, but I have a strong feeling your going to get a bunch of bunk submissionsthat you can't use and then you or the label-mates will just end up paying for the cover work from someone who knows what they are doing. If it comes to that, hit me up at
[email protected] but until then don't waste my time.
