Well, I voted no on the recall. Looking at the national economy, which is in the shitter, and the fact that most states are also running deficits, it seems like this really wasn't due to gross neglegence on Davis' part. With Bustamante's lawsuit against the energy providers, and a recall on his ass, I think Gray could have turned things around.
I also laughed at comments that people will vote for Arnold because he's "hella tight" or some shit like that. Personally, the fact that Arnold isn't a politician is no comfort to me. I never really heard too many detailed plans from Arnold about what he'd do for the state, he just put out some general stuff. Therefore, it seems to me that Arnold is going to be "acting" as governor, LITERALLY--but who is going to be writing his script? That's what scares me about Arnold.
On the other hand, I couldn't really say that I'd be thrilled with any of the other recall candidates who were either hacks (McClintock, Bustamante), random people (a college student), and jokers trying to cash in on publicity (Coleman, porn star).
Hopefully, we'll get some quality candidates running in the real election.
