I don't know, most of you guys seem to be against Arnie for govenor. I don't live in Cali or even the U.S for that matter but I think it is a good thing.

Arnie came to America as an emmigrant, had nothing... worked damn hard and look where he is now... I think this sort of work ethic leaks over into everything you do and this can't be a bad thing for cali...

He spent 10 million dollars of his own money on the campaign, when you are prepared to put your own money behind your campaign it shows he is dedicated to achieving big things...

If anything this election has received worldwide coverage, and while all these people have been in Cali reporting they have been spending big dollars. Heaps of people love Arnie, especially Japan and you are bound to see a lot more overseas people in Cali spending all their money and the tourism dollars that the state will bring in with Arnie as governor will definitely help the local economy...

I think all in all its not a bad thing. I don't know what policies he has or how he plans to implement them but I am sure the government will bring in extra dollars, always a good thing, now how will he spend these extra dollars?...
1. When Arnold came to America he was sponsored... Some guy in bodybuilding paid his way and had a job here for him before he even left his country. (Side note, you know who really came up? Cruz Bustamonte, he was out picking strawberries in the fields when he was younger.)

2. I remember when the recall was first starting he had put up 2 million and accepted 1 million, I don't know how much he accepted and how much he spent himself in the end though. He turned down special interest donations from what I remember, not all donations.

socal voted most of it cos most the votes came from Hollywood. LOL.
I guess so... A majority of all 9 Bay Area counties voted No on the recall and voted for Bustamonte as the replacement.

Who cares who's elected...they're all the goddamn same crooked pieces of shit. They just fuck off your tax dollars in different ways.

Liberals = Wasting all sorts of money in useless social programs to mumbling crazy old/homeless people. Have the government pay for your kids school condoms and also for their abortions when they don't work.

Conservatives = Wasting all sorts of money in military spending and asinine tax breaks to yuppies. Have the government pay to invade various middle eastern countries forcing democracy or death to people who don't want either.

Either way you look at it, kiss you money good muthafuckin bye.

Well, I voted no on the recall. Looking at the national economy, which is in the shitter, and the fact that most states are also running deficits, it seems like this really wasn't due to gross neglegence on Davis' part. With Bustamante's lawsuit against the energy providers, and a recall on his ass, I think Gray could have turned things around.

I also laughed at comments that people will vote for Arnold because he's "hella tight" or some shit like that. Personally, the fact that Arnold isn't a politician is no comfort to me. I never really heard too many detailed plans from Arnold about what he'd do for the state, he just put out some general stuff. Therefore, it seems to me that Arnold is going to be "acting" as governor, LITERALLY--but who is going to be writing his script? That's what scares me about Arnold.

On the other hand, I couldn't really say that I'd be thrilled with any of the other recall candidates who were either hacks (McClintock, Bustamante), random people (a college student), and jokers trying to cash in on publicity (Coleman, porn star).

Hopefully, we'll get some quality candidates running in the real election.

DerekGay is right. We need more 60 year old career politicians who've made a career out of selling their votes to the highest bidding PAC and having affairs with their secretaries.

No fresh faces and ideas, just partisan fuckheads set in their ways.

People believe Pete Wilson should be shot.
Yet Ahnold brings the son of a bitch back in office.

Face it man, your boy Ahnold's a closet racist.
Well actually he's not because he's shown himself out on the open in the past but he's tryin to stuff his skelletons in the closet.

Not gonna work....
