Regardless of what the other team is doing, you still have to be a man and get over it. LaDainian has been my favorite player in the league for several years now, and part of the reason is because of his sportsmanship and respect for the game. I believe his emotions got the best of him because he probably felt his team was untouchable and was easily headed to the Bowl. It sucks when you're looking forward to something and it gets taken from you in an instant. But he established his reputation as a man of respect, on both the receiving end and the giving end.. Football is an emotional sport and the Pats were just very happy they went into the Chargers' house as the underdog and came out with the win. You know they were hearing some shit all week leading up to the game, so they just wanted to rub it in the Chargers' faces. Bottom line is LT lost his composure.
I was saying all week that the Pats would come out of this with a win. We got a Charger fan at work (he's from San Diego) and he was talking all kinds of shit when I told him I thought the Patriots were gonna take this game. But on Friday I challenged him to a bet.. He was willing to bet $20 to $50, but I was thinking along the lines of $150 to $200 and he was not willing to lose that much. The fact he wasn't willing to wager a decent chunk of change let me know he was having doubts about the game. It felt good to shut his fuckin mouth for at least one day.. Now he's gonna hear it from me all week. LOL!
