I've always respected Jon...I think it was dope how he captured the essence of 'Hyphy' on 40's album and was able to make it so that it sounds almost nothing like Crunk...because obviously him spearheading the whole Crunk movement, there are going to be comparisons drawn.
FOREAL, HE BEEN WORK'D W/ TOO $HORT WAYYYYY BEFORE HE MADE IT BIGG

The situation is that Lil Jon was becoming a redundent synth using producer. On my ghetto report card he steped his game up and showed that even if his beats start sounding the same he can reinvent him self. Chuch!!

i dont "like" lil jon, but i do respect the man. now even more because he really took a CHANCE on 40. and when the bay REALLY blows up, and u see more then 40 on mtv....thank lil jon when u see the man. not saying the bay woudnt have blew up without him, im just saying it woulda took longer because without his major status, the spotlight wouldnt be shining so hard on us right now

Why did it have to take a nigga from the south to blow up the Bay mainstream, again?
because he has a MAJOR LABEL and credibility in the music industry, especially the mainstream side.

Lil jon is one of the hardest producers in the damn nation! As much as you want to deny, he is!
lil jon did some tight reggae/dancehall production in the early 90's. he did the Capleton "Tour" hip hop remix and a shit load of other remixes to other reggae tracks. anybody else a big fan of lil jons reggae production on this site besides me?

I remember last year everyone on this board hated lil jon and now that hes blowing 40 up everyone likes him, funny style shit if you ask me.

Bet everyone would start showing love to 50 cent too if San Quinn for example or another big bay name signed to g-unit and went multi platinum.
unless you actually went out of your way to keep a tab, how do you know that the people who were hating lil jon a year ago are the same people showing him love today?
