G-Dep Turns Himself In For Murder
I thought you had a son? So basically, you are leaving your child fatherless so you can turn yourself in for killing someone else's kid on accident? Well, I applaud you. Would I turn myself in? Hell no. Whether I killed someone on purpose or accident, I would only turn myself in if I could justify it as self defense.
You aren't thinking logically. You just murdered someone. Your family would crumble to pieces.
I don't know what this has to do with being from the streets though. I don't follow street codes or any of that non sense. Apparently, new news to me but the latest street code is turning yourself or someone else in because they killed a kid, as opposed to an adult. I choose not to follow that code. I guess I'm not from the streets then. Whatever that's worth.
G-Dep Turns Himself In For Murder
Rapper G-Dep, who was formerly signed to Diddy's Bad Boy label and who released "Let's Get It" in 2001 from the "P. Diddy & The Family: The Saga Continues" album has been arrested after turning himself in for murder. According to The New York Post, G-Dep, whose real name is Trevell Coleman, walked into the 25th Precinct in New York and confessed to the cold case. The 36-year-old G-Dep who was 18 at the time of the crime told police,
"I shot and killed someone 17 years ago."
The rapper went on to tell the details of the murder which reportedly happened on October 19, 1993 outside the James Weldon Johnson Houses and left 32-year-old John Henkel dead.
G-Dep told police officers he was riding a bicycle when he approached John Henkel on Park Avenue and East 114th Street and attempted to rob him. Henkel attempted to fight off the former Bad Boy rapper and grabbed his .40-caliber gun. G-Dep confess to pulling away and shooting his victim three times in the chest. Trevell Coleman then told how he fled the scene and tossed the weapon into the East River.
John Henkel died after being taken to St. Luke's Hospital and G-Dep stated that his death "had been eating away at him." The rapper was charged with murder and is currently being held without bail most likely because he has over 25 arrest since 2003 from charges that include burglary and drugs.
