This is just what the Bay needs...something to break up this fuckin clear channel monopoly...all KMEL has to do is stick to reppin the Bay and (if they were smart) they would bring back the Fuckin Summer Jam before 92.7 brings their own to town.

I got it in the other day out in Brentwood but it had some static... Radio comes in hella bad out here I bought an FM rabbit ear antenna from Wal Mart to get stations to come in better.

of course, they're playing the same bullshit. the majority wants to hear it. BUT what this does is for the first time in however long, create competition for Clear Channel. 94.9's probably not gonna change, but KMEL's in trouble. The new station's plan is to allign itself with the streets and get their support by playing hometown hero's. That's why KMEL started playing the keak's and quinn's, etc... to combat it.

It's definitely positve for Bay fans because one or both is gonna be really supportive.

So they're definitely gonna be playin more local shit? Or that's their plan?

I didn't know if this idea was wishful thinking that just came out of nowhere or if someone who's actually up on it knows that that's their plan and this is gonna happen.

ive listened to it for a couple hours and so far...it is worse than even 94.9. it had better step it up or it will only be on for a month or so and kmel will not miss a beat. as far as I am concerned, this station still doesnt exist on my dial. I am very disappointed

they have pretty much been playing what was at the top of the charts like 3-4 months ago. dont even bother listening until they get their shit together
