FUCK YOU
The Atlanta Braves acquired All-Star second baseman Dan Uggla from the Florida Marlins on Tuesday in a trade for utilityman Omar Infante and pitcher Mike Dunn, a baseball source told ESPN.com.

Dan Uggla

Uggla

Uggla, 30, has 154 home runs in five seasons with Florida. He's a three-time All-Star and just won his first career Silver Slugger award.

The Marlins elected to move Uggla after they were unable to reach an agreement with him on a long-term contract.

Uggla is expected to play second base for Atlanta. His arrival frees up Martin Prado to share time at first base with rookie Freddie Freeman, provide insurance for Chipper Jones at third and also log some at-bats in left field.

The Uggla trade continues a busy offseason for the Marlins, who dealt outfielder Cameron Maybin to San Diego and sent pitcher Andrew Miller to Boston last week.

Those two players were at the core of the 2007 deal that sent Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis from Florida to Detroit. Uggla will be reunited with Fredi Gonzalez in Atlanta. Gonzalez managed the Marlins for 3½ years before being fired in June. He was hired to replace Bobby Cox in mid-April.

looks like they already got him but doubt he will sign a contract to stay there after the year is over

Damn, I take everything back I said about Uggla before. We should have traded for him just to keep him away from the Braves!

Infante was a good player too though. Glad to see him gone from Atlanta!

i'm kinda glad that we didn't land him, yeah having his offensive production would have been awesome but probably not worth the bread.. plus on a 5 yr deal he would be 36 who knows if his production would decline or not.. but the braves bascially got a steal... lets resign huff and uribe, we do need to pick up a SS but hopefully belt, and crawford will develop sooner then later..

I wouldn't be surprised if all we did was re-sign Huff and Uribe. We definitely could use Belt's bat, but will he be ready next year? Our lineup will probably look something like this opening day:

Torres CF
Sanchez 2B
Posey C
Huff 1B
Ross RF
Uribe SS
Derosa LF
Sandoval 3B

Personally, I really hope Burrell can comeback for cheap. I think people forget how many game-winning home runs this dude blasted.

Cameron Maybin goin to Padres scares me. He can turn into a legit leadoff for them. Hopefully he keeps hitting .234 and doesn't show his true potential against us

SS Ehire Adrianza and OF Thomas Neal were added to the 40-man roster today in order to protect them from the Rule 5 draft.
