How is West Palm Beach a city? Its a county which consists of a few cities that could be considered "dangerous" but then you have Boca Raton a city of which the average income is well over 80 thous per person..

They only recently changed it to Palm Beach county but if you ask anyone who lives in Florida what West Palm is they will tell you its a county jus like Dade and Broward. And yea they got some grimby areas up there but if you added up Dade as a whole you would get the same result with Carol City, Liberty City, Kendall, Hialeah & Miami

Heres some figures to proove my point:

2004 Murder Rates by County in the state of Florida

Rank; County Name, No. of Murders; 2004 population; Murders/100,000 residents

1. Duval -- 105 -- 840,474 -- 12.4 murder for every 100,000 residents
2. Miami-Dade -- 218 -- 2,379,818 -- 9.16
3. Palm Beach -- 89 -- 1,242,270 -- 7.16
4. Orange -- 61 -- 1,013,937 -- 6.01
5. Lee -- 31 -- 521,253 -- 5.94
6. Hillsborough -- 58 -- 1,108,435 -- 5.23
7. Pinellas -- 37 -- 943,640 -- 3.92
8. Broward -- 63 -- 1,723,131 -- 3.65
9. Polk -- 15 -- 528,389 -- 2.83
10. Brevard -- 14 -- 521,422 -- 2.68
