anybody seen this trailer? looks pretty cool.

127 Hours is the true story of mountain climber Aron Ralston's (James Franco) remarkable adventure to save himself after a fallen boulder crashes on his arm and traps him in an isolated canyon in Utah. Over the next five days Ralston examines his life and survives the elements to finally discover he has the courage and the wherewithal to extricate himself by any means necessary, scale a 65 foot wall and hike over eight miles before he is finally rescued. Throughout his journey, Ralston recalls friends, lovers (Clemence Poesy), family, and the two hikers (Amber Tamblyn and Kate Mara) he met before his accident. Will they be the last two people he ever had the chance to meet?

Shit would be weird as hell cremating your own arm:

While hiking out, he encountered a couple on vacation from The Netherlands, Eric and Monique Meijer, and their son, Andy, who gave him water and then alerted the authorities. He was ultimately rescued by a helicopter search team six hours after amputating his arm. His arm was removed from under the boulder and retrieved by park authorities. It was cremated by Ralston. He then returned to the accident scene with Tom Brokaw six months later, on his birthday, for two reasons: to film the Dateline NBC episode of his accident, and to scatter the ashes of his arm where, he says, "they belong".

Watched 2 movies yesterday:

Started off good, got boring for a minute, but the second half was awesome. The part where he was talking about being destined to encounter the rock was especially cool. Actually, once it started to explore into his mind/emotions it was just really good from then on. 8/10

I hate to say it but this is the first time I have ever seen this movie. I'm going down the list of iMDB top 250 to make sure I've seen all the "classics" that are ranked towards the top. This was #25 and happened to be on IFC last night. I'm not going to discuss this film since I'm sure everyone else on here has seen it already, but I will say that it was ingenious, and awesome.

Actually I will say something. When Spacey was describing the "story" he heard about Keyser Söze, I shat brix.
