    Temple of the Dog

Mark Lanegan. He sings with Layne on I'm Above and Long Gone Day (great song). @Cranky, if you look on half.com or amazon.com, you can find it for pretty cheap. I only paid $6 for my copy, including shipping.

    Temple of the Dog

Good lookin on the info, Nuttkase. I'll probably pick up that Mother Love Bone first, then look at some of the other bands. I've been interested to hear some Screeming Trees. Their singer is the guy who sung on a couple of the Mad Season songs, right?

    Temple of the Dog

I figured you'd have it, homie. Mike McCready plays some great lead guitar on that album; he can bust some dope ass solos. I've been meaning to get a Mother Love Bone album for like the last 5 years but never did for some reason. What do you recommend, Nuttkase?

    Jethro Tull

"Stand Up" is a great album. It's from before they were a stadium rock band and they had a more folk/bluesy sound. I highly recommend that album..other than that, I don't know too much about them.

    Fights from Sharks game Saturday

I was at the Sharks-Predators game on Saturday and got to see some pretty good action. Here's the two videos of the fights. The first are real fights and the second is Scott Parker trying to fight Brenden Witt on the bench, which he eventually got suspended for...

    New Lynch Album?

Anyone know when brotha lynch is going to release a new solo album? An album without features on every other track? It seems like lynch is either doing a group album or has a million (weak) features on his own shit. He is 10x better than anyone else he raps with and it kinda ruins his songs...

    NIRVANA-SOMTHING IN THE WAY

    NHL Trades

I know hockey fans are a minority here, but for those who are interested, here are some of the more important trades from today. "Big" player names are in bold. SJ Sharks traded 3rd round draft pick for Ville Nieminen. <--good playoff pickup Montreal Canadiens traded Jose Theodore (G) to...

    Buckethead??

I JUST heard this guy for the first time yesterday and I think he's dope (I don't know how I missed him all these years). I burned "Electric Tears" from a friend of mine and it's very laid back music, something I could fall asleep to. He's an excellent guitarist. I have a question though: For...

Pink Floyd "The Great Gig In The Sky"

I'm bored... so here's some more Floyd. This is "Set The Controls For the Heart of the Sun" taken from Live At Pompeii. Some of you may have heard this already, but it's the best version of this song around IMO and it's always worth hearing again. I think I'm going to put up a live version of...

    Just Saw Buddy Guy

I just got back from watching Buddy Guy play up in Santa Rosa and dude ripped shit up!! 70 years old and he still plays like he's twenty, playing with his teeth and shit. It was great. He did about an hour-and-a-half long set, playing originals as well as some Cream, John Lee Hooker, and...

Pink Floyd "The Great Gig In The Sky"

Aiight, Folks. This is a version of "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" from a concert in London in 1971. The quality is much better on this than the pre-DSOTM piece. It's definately in the old-style: very serene parts driven by eerie keyboards. This is one of the better versions of this song...

Pink Floyd "The Great Gig In The Sky"

Right on, folks. Glad you all enjoyed it. I might be posting up some more tracks this week if I have time, so stay tuned. I was basically seeing if anyone was interested enough in Pink Floyd for me to post up these tracks and it looks like there are.

Pink Floyd "The Great Gig In The Sky"

before Dark Side Of The Moon. This is the song "Great Gig In The Sky" when it was still in it's development from a concert in 1972 (i think). There's no female vocals, it's a pure instrumental. The quality is pretty bad, but it's still worth a listen. Let me know what ya'll think about it...
