    Why is it...?

that if you're from the bay, you have to choose either the Oakland team or the Frisco team? Every single person I bump into is either a Giants fan and hates the A's, or vice-versa. Same thing with the 49ers and Raiders...how come no one roots for the bay as a whole? That's what I was raised to do.

    Agathodaimon

I just got Blacken the Angel the other day and I actually like it a lot. I don't think as much as Serpent's Embrace, but it's still good IMO. Serpent's embrace just has amazing production on it, it's one of the main things that make the album appealing to me. I'll check out some of those bands...

    Apocalyptica (Again)

I know I already made a thread about these guys a while ago, but I just got another album of theirs called "Inquisition Symphony" in which they do a couple more Metallica covers, but they also do a couple original songs (see below), as well as a Pantera and some Sepultera covers. This album...

Alice in Chains tour without Staley

Is there a list of where in the US they're going to travel?

    Anybody Use Checks?

I've got a bunch of CD's I want to sell, but first I want to see if there are any people who are willing to pay by personal check. I don't use paypal (don't ask) or anything else, so I just want to make sure I'm not wasting my time putting up the titles. Let me know if anyone's interested. The...

Alice in Chains tour without Staley

I don't like it. I don't like the idea of replacing Layne Staley, he's too much for anyone to handle. I have never seen any rock & roll singer put as much emotion in their music than him, it's almost disrespectful to him to even try. And if anyone should be singing, it should be Cantrell; he is...

    BART Battles

Does anyone have any of the audio from the BART battles a couple years ago? Some of those were pretty entertaining. PS, if this is in violation of the "don't request songs on here" rule, then feel free to delete. I just figured since it was an event put on by the board, and by people on the...

    Survivor Series

I haven't watched wrestling for several years now, so excuse my ignorance. I'm just wondering, do they still do the Survivor Series teams? That used to be my favorite event next to the Royal Rumble.

    Temple of the Dog

So I got that MLB album today. I listened to bits and pieces of the first few songs and it's sounding real good all around. Andrew Wood is very eccentric, and I can definately hear his indfluence on the whole "grunge" scene. This was a good pick up for sure.

    12 years already...

I agree, these men were two of the best singers of their, or any era. Layne Staley is by far my favorite singer of all time..both of these guys could capture so much emotion in their music, it's unbelieveable. I've yet to see any singer since then who even comes close to these two (except...

Good lookin' out, folks. I'll check out some Mudhoney pretty soon.

    Agathodaimon

Here's a band I stumbled across a couple of months ago. They're a German group that make what I guess is considered black metal. They add symphonic elements (keyboards) into their music which gives it a sort of epic quality and the singer sounds downright demonic. I bought an album called...

    Temple of the Dog

What Mudhoney would you recommend? I see they have quite a few albums. @Nuttkase, thanks for the info. I just ordered that Mother Love Bone compilation from half.com. I'll probably get that Jerry Cantrell soon, too. I just got my job back a couple weeks ago, so I've kind of been on a CD buying...

OK, here's a question: Is Jerry Cantrell's "Boggy Depot" worth picking up?

    Soundgarden

Down on the Upside is very good, too. It took a few years for it to grow on me, but now I rank it as one of Soundgarden's best. And I like Superunknown best probably because that's what was fed to me when I was younger. I didn't hear Badmotorfinger until only a few years ago, but it's still very...
