Police are wasting taxpayer money over the past two weeks on marketing themselves to communities (nothing new, been doing this for a long long time) trying to control the narrative as usual and pretend they care. Their job is solely to enforce laws put on the books by representatives of the haves, incarcerating the others in society and taking their money, while often killing them in the process.

A body camera on every cop does nothing so as long as law enforcement controls the narrative. Dallas has 170 hours of body cam footage, how much will be released to the public? Not 170 hours. No transparency yet paid for by taxpayers.
You really want to watch 170 hours of protesters spitting on police, taunting them, then running in terror when the shots go off TOWARDS these same police and behind them and expecting them to be the ones to protect them? Cowards and hypocrites. A lot of the protestors were peaceful and Dallas PD was even tweeting out pictures of cops without riot gear hugging and embracing peaceful protestors, but you better believe those days are long gone and you can thank Micah for that. A lot of these protests are going to be met with full riot gear and police snipers on rooftops now. SWAT vans and militarized weapons. You can thank the violent black racist criminal element our police across this country are like this now

At minimum, every taxpayer of Dallas should have access to every second of that footage, yes.
Do you realize how expensive that is? Why don't you donate to your local police station if you truly feel that way and aren't just bullshitting, because police are underfunded across the nation. Or just do like the Lib-tards, reach into your neighbors pocket to pay for your progressive ideas

I'll give you a hint... Obama approved $263 million spending package to equip several departments and it's not even a drop in the bucket. Most departments have to move to off-site cloud storage and those contracts run upwards of $850,000 to 1million per a 5 year contract. Even a huge city like Seattle has mostly failed to implement meaningful bodycamera data storage. It's not as easy as "170 hours should be immediately available" because public record requests are a nightmare in itself.

These things take money, and they take a lot of time; we just aren't there yet. We haven't paid for shit.

Underfunded? Now I know you are trolling. Dallas police seize millions of dollars in cash and assets every year (where is the transparency with those assets). Nice try. Dallas' public safety budget grows by multi eight digits every year now and is in the hundreds of millions no( not hundred, hundreds of millions). Law enforcement and their unions play a poor me game with taxpayer money end every single vote. Hell no I won't support them, they should be abolished.

WTF @ this cluster fuck of a thread.

If you dont think racism and profiling by those in authority exists in America (and quite frankly, MANY other countries and society's), you are either dumb as FUCK, literally and legitimately mentally retarded, or in denial. There is no other excuse.

Being darker skinned in this world means you are lesser of a person to those with light colored skin (generally speaking). Its been like that for THOUSANDS OF YEARS. Exploiting natives who dont understand or care about the "white folks'" movement have been enslaved and killed, all in the name of power, greed, and ruling power. These are FACTS, and can be seen throughout history over and over again. History always repeats itself, but its up to those being exploited to fight back when enough is enough. Hello Dallas. Who is next?

Yes, because America is the only country that have black people talking about slavery..

if you're not American then it makes sense why you lack a nuanced understanding of this (and related) issues, because they are uniquely American. and why you would so flippantly dismiss slavery (of all things) with an arrogant "lol"

race relations filled w tension for hundreds of years, gun violence, strained relations between police and minority and low-income communities, slavery (lol), lack of access to the mainstream economy and the consequences of that etc. etc. etc. all easily waived off because you don't know what you don't know.

Not really my fault that its been misunderstood what I said.

not being able to clearly communicate one's ideas falls on the writer as opposed to the audience, more times than not.

What the fuck does slavery have to do with any of this? Don't fall into the liberal media trap and expand this into something that's unsolvable by adding these deeper layers on it; they want you to feel hopeless and powerless, want you to be angry and ignore the facts. None of these cops were slavemasters, none of the whites today are slavemasters. None of these cops are on trial for slavery, none of these people being killed are slaves. Don't absolve individual responsiblities and demand blame for the actions of groups 400 years ago

Shits like trying to argue with women or something. The fuck is the point? There are clear solutions, clear answers, people want to confuse everything up with their feelings and ignore facts. Like do you guys want to actually talk about these problems and solve them or just want to talk about it to be talking about it and sharing your feelings? Jesus christ

What a giant waste of time

Slavery has a lot to do with this, you seem to be in total denial about or completely ignorant to the deep rooted problems of the country you claim to love so much. The police started in this country as slave patrols, did you miss that part? Loving it (the US as a nation) is fine, as long as you are willing to accept the full and complete history of it (does not mean you have to be proud of it). The war on Black America is very real. Ask an American Indian about the war on them, they can relate.

And it's being waged, by blacks. A higher black on black death toll than the entire Iraq War this past decade and it's only getting worse. I've already proven this "blacks are under attack" narrative is completely false 4-5 times, yet you ignored it once again, and everyone will continue to ignore it. This discussion is leading nowhere
