Well the main reason for the EA SimCity bad press was the stupid mandatory must be online at all times. That's what really did it. Plus some people couldn't even play for a month.

GTA isn't known for online play, really. It's the single player experience that is what sells. So for the survers not being ready for one day isn't a big deal, yet.

i wouldnt be surprised if GTAO wont work for a month or two.
and for sim city 5 you dont have to be online at all times just online when you are playing the game. you also have to do your game saves to the cloud not your PC. EA was just too retarded to explain it properly. sim city 5 works like an MMO similar to GTAO.
if they really wanted to ball hard they should released 2 different titles. GTAV and GTAO. I woulda copped both! and make GTAO like someone else said in here a true MMO with everybody playing at once, spraying each other up, better character creation etc. they havent given an update in 24 hours tho and thats troubling lol

Rasans probably onto somethin about the code. People are getting through and videos on youtube are up for gta online. The thing is some people are leveling up to 5, 6, 7, etc but at some point they get kicked off the map, sent to Single player, and when they try to get back online everything they earned is gone. Their safehouses, they money, their XP Level. Everything. They have to start from scratch.

I don't even want to try going online until I hear confirmation the shit isn't tweaking out anymore. What's the point? Fuck. I've been stuck at home with an injury I got shit else to do, too lol.

bullshit, ive played the game for like 70 hours and things are considerably different. ive never had trouble turning with a flat tire, and have never did a super fast double donut trying to turn. ive never tried to accelerate while stopped with a flat and gone backwards. ive killed over 600 cops and have never seen their accuracy so bad. ive experienced the tranny probs, but only after extreme vehicle damage with a car on its last legs, never after just hitting a light pole. ive never seen a trail of gas ignite my car from a punctured gas tank,ive shot up dozens of cars and have had hundreds of cars shot up. ive ditched something like 500 wanted stars and never have they been so easy to lose now

its different now

i typed like 5 paragraphs and then siccness made me re sign in to post, then it was gone lol.

anyway, sim city made ppl wait upwards of hours to authenticate, just to play single player. ppl paid then couldn't play. harsh. anyway im just going to be patient i guess. this games already a classic to me and i cant wait. just be prepared for griefers everyone. ppl who get joy from causing ppl grief. this is GTA people... lol im telling you, prepare yourself mentally otherwise you can and will be griefed.

want to switch to passive mode so you can focus on missions? you can still be run over and killed. think you can go passive and drive around? your car will be shot up, and you can be shot while driving. guess what, auto aim is enabled online, using free aim is more skilled, but uou will be disadvantaged and no ones going to free aim just to make it even for you. about to finish that race in first place? guess what, sticky bombs are there to make sure you dont cross the finish line. want to label these people bad sports? guess what, you get kicked out of the game yourself as a bad sport for whining about any of this. want to go passive then train at ammunation? guess what, there is an suv parked in the doorway and you cant draw weapons to blow it up. you are imprisoned in the building with no way out. want to buy clothes? same thing. got a nice new car huh? its now someone elses.

lol prepare yourself for any and all of these things. they will happen to you, and its just a game. your tears and rage only make ppl think these things are funnier.

I was online for about 20 minutes......but it didn't save my online character at first, I was about to rank up and then everyone got booted....got online one more time but there was only one other person on then I got booted.....stupid ass cloud servers aren't working and I wanna shoot people.


and apparently I'm not a sicc goon anymore

As someone who doesn't really play video games or follow what's up with them at all doesn't the online play not working a lot, being glitchy, etc happen when every major game first goes online for like a week or two? I'm pretty sure I've heard that from numerous people and think I've even read it in here once or twice. I mean yeah it sucks but if that's kinda the norm I'm not seeing what the big deal is as long as it's fixed within a couple weeks.

ok so who is mic'd up? obviously mics will make coordination easier. i have one, but my walls are thin and quiet hours are 10pm to 8am, so i obviously cant be yelling at 2am lol

we need a maniac to yell during robberies cause it makes them go faster

i copped a usb headset and mic specifically for this game.
i also copped a s video cable to run to my dvd recorder so i can record online gameplay and post it for our amusement.
