radio station went to shit long time ago. Good luck to chuy tho

i blame it on the clear channel regime or whetever company owns the station...when the clear channel regime buys a radio station they usually fire all the talent...change the format so u get the same 10 songs every hour 25/7/365...teh djs get paid to hype up the same songs every single hour...the so-called "requests" for the same songs 24/7 are pre recorded

back in the old days radio stations could play whatever they wanted...djs be cussin and shit all the time...they were free to talk about whatever was on their mind...i dont think any fcc fines for so-called "indecency" were even issued..now the threat of the fcc fines has the radio stations enacting the 7 second delay when somebody swears on the air

chuy gomez is one of the only reasons bay area music ever got any play on the radio.
he helped alot of these cats get heard. the man deserves some respect.
im sure he will do fine. there are other stations out there that could use him. or better yet he can get together with an investor or wealthy rapper and start his own station.
kmel really fucked up by letting him go.

damm chuy had a damm good run...fuck kmel tho, sana g is hella dry.
and sana g played "shining star" by IMP awhile back... and tried to show how "super duper hyphy bay with it" she was by telling the listeners that it was a cougnut song, when it was a c-fresh solo

Chuy will be back in some form I bet ya...

The only thing I didn't like about his show is he had 10000 2pac songs to choose from in the morning but only played the same 5 radio songs they always play. If he was going to dedicate a song per day to Pac why didn't he do a different song each day I'm sure you can radio edit every one of Pac's songs if you can radio Edit Hit em Up lol

I think KMEL was behind that tho' cuz I remember Chuy use to play super underground Bay Shit before every chance he got

Honestly JV's show in the morning was better than Chuy's just for the talking. When they play the songs the radio goes down. But Chewy is a vet I switch over just to hear whats crackin sometimes. Kmel dumb as fuck. It would be tight for Chewy to do his own station. If its possible. Play some different songs than the same ten songs on repeat.

on a side note... why is there a song on the radio that starts out with "when i was in 3rd grade, i thought i was gay"? is lil b making a comeback?

That seems to be the game macklemore running rap and Thicke running R&B. Its not that I don't like them because there white, but that is the reason they are being forced upon everybody. This is the pattern of the American music biz
