probably like my least favorite mac dre cover ever but i appreciate you sharing the story involving it...props

i always felt like there was absolutely no creative process or thought behind that cover, just like a pose and a gradient psychedelic background

honestly i didnt even know there was any sort of austin powers thing going on with that cover, what was like austin powers on it? i mean admittedly i thought austin powers was corny and wasnt the biggest watcher or payer of attention to that whole shit, but i thought the things associated w austin powers was like, that midget, like a scooby doo back ground (not psychedelic gradient background) and like, crooked teeth and a british suit with the lil fluffy joint coming out of the chest part..and maybe a white bitch on some 70's clothing swag....i didnt see the association but maybe thats what yall were going for...

thats ill if other people liked the cover tho but i always thought it was weak like someone had a pic of dre put it on a background slapped some words on it and called it a day...alot of dres covers were way iller as far as the creative vision...im a fan of most of dres covers and thats what made me check the albums..i iliked the album tho but yeah the cover was a lil bland to me,,i liked rapper gone bad, genie of the lamp, the game is thick ronald dregan stupid doo doo dumb its not what you say its how you say it and etc,,,dre ususakkt has ill covers with a lil mo thought thats just my two cents

sorry if it came across as hating..didnt mean to....album was slapping all in all and youre part of creating a cover for a legend thats a gift...

yeah, of all of Dre's covers, the Thizzle Washington one really made me say "wtf was he thinking?" Admittedly, I just figured it was the E working its way into his rap persona...

When i first saw it i thought it was a fake...i couldnt believe someone would really approve that artwork, like Gas said, it was a VERY easy/basic cover to make, i didnt have faith in it and was proven wrong to the 100th power. Dre's play in creating the Thizz movement worked and opened up a lot of doors and created a new genre of music pretty much.

Anyways...Sintek desi8gns got some real talent and I suggest more cats fuck with him and Dubb A from on here....both got a real eye for good graphics and design overall.

Totally feel you on that, Dre told me exactly what he wanted, colors and all. He basically kept the cover because of the response he got. No it didnt take me long to do it, nor was his attire up to par, but regardless he was happy with the outcome. I also did Mac Dres the name, mac Dmanitt Man, its not what u say its how u say it.
