I listed Cheeky Blakk's "Let Me Get That Outcha" CD on eBay. The producer of one of the tracks e-mails me regarding the cd. Here's the e-mail I got from her:

"Im the publisher of Cheeky Blakk Let me get that outcha and Id like to speak with about selling this CD. I can be reached at 504-201-7544 All Hood Music Publishing Ms. G. Robert"

So then I responded:
"What's going on and how can I assist you in regards to the Cheeky Blakk CD??"

Then she replies with this e-mail:
"I can be reached at 504-201-7544. As I mentioned before, I am the publisher of this song. Which means I and only give permission for this song to be sold. I have never signed any contracts with you and you are selling my song. Thats what's going on and this is only the beginning."

Is it me or is this one dumbass producer that don't know shit about property rights?! I don't think I am doing anything wrong since I am selling an original CD and not no MP3 or CDR. If what I am doing is wrong then should all record stores that sell used cds have permission to sell any artists' album?? I'm sorry, but I truly feel that this person is an idiot for even trying to e-mail me about it.

She just got it all wrong. She was supposed to get her money when the CD was sold from the store or out the trunk the first time. Stupid people can't expect to get paid everytime one CD with one of their songs changes owner, like CDs going in and out of secondhand stores. Pass her a box of Oreos and tell her to do some law studies.

you're not sellin her song in the terms she means.. Only if you sold the freakin singular track.. This cd is PUBLISHED... And there's no law to sell used cds.. If you transferred that track to an unpublished uncopyrighted bootleg, she could fuck you over.. She's just bein a little miss by the sounds of it. Or someone's winding you up. LMAO, ask her, so why does ebay currently have 3 million pre-owned cds?

St. Charles tried to pull this on me a few years back. I wish I had kept those emails, it was pretty funny. I lost all respect for the guy.

Hold your ground, she has no argument. The only thing you might have problems with is eBay, because they play scared, they don't want any heat on them.

I am not gonna waste my long distance fees to hear this broad's speak broken English. LOL! This is the 3rd e-mail I got from her and finally responded to it. Anwyay, here's an updated thread on what's going on with this broad:

http://www.siccness.net/vb/showthread.php?t=175039

Just so you guys know I switched the store listing of that CD and made it into an auction so that everyone can bid up on this cd just to fuck with her. I'm hoping for it to get into the $1000 so that she can shit in her pants thinking its worth that much!! LOL! If she hits me with a subpoena, I will frame that shit on my wall so it can remind of how dumb some people are in this world.

Or you can have a couple of us on here bidding it all the way up to $1,000 and then show her the final auction results, but don't expect us to pay the $1,000, and then relist it later on.
