I've watched wrestling since I was a kid. I still do to this day. Its entertainment, nothing more. I have started watching TNA more as of late. WWE just seems kinda old to me nowadays, with the storylines; same with ECW (now). I didn't get into ECW until '99. I enjoyed watching it back then. Now, it just seems like the intensity, crowd interaction, etc. isn't there anymore.

@southend, thanks for not starting a fight and thinking i was talking about you personally.

what do you watch wrestling for? is it just entertaining for you?

the moment i found out wrestling was fake it lost its allure to me, even more so when wwf or wwe wrestlers will go on shows and CLAIM its real.

do you know what kaiju big battel is ? or any of you?

i watch that
its wrestling but its not
ITS ALL GOOD, WE'RE ABOVE ALL THAT. BUT I'M NOT INTO IT LIKE WHEN I WAS A LOT YOUNGER. I GOT NEPHEWS, THEY LIKE TO WATCH IT. NO MATTER WHAT I TELL EM, THEY STILL THINK ITS REAL. WRESTLING HAS LOST ITS ART. A FEW WRESTLERS LIKE JEFF HARDY, MYSTERIO, KING BOOKER, I CAN DEAL WITH. MORE SO ITS JUST PURE COMEDY. I CANT LIE, IF THE OLD ECW WAS STILL AROUND, I'D DEFINITELY BE INTO IT. BTW, WHO IS KAIJU BIG BATTEL?

I'll never stop watching.........I wouldn't mind being in a Raw/Smackdown ring, one night only, just because.....even as a jobber.

And on the "it isn't real" thing.........neither is rap, 99% of the time. 95% of the stories are jacked, or made-up, and when they are real, it's horrible rappers telling them. And on the 5% chance they ARE real......the other 95% of that SAME rapper's stories are made up anyway!

In this day and age, everything is fake, and planned, and scripted. The only thing that matters now is.....can you say the words better than, not just the next man, but the BEST man. It's not about real or fake, entertaining or not, it's about being a nobody and trying to force being a somebody ("grinding", spending all your paychecks, etc., in the place of natural talent). Born losers exist. Just the reality of the world.
I agree with you on that rap stuff... but wrestling has never been entertaining to me. I knew it was fake since I was 4 years old and would cap on my cousins for thinking it was real.

The sad thing about this is that some people cant distinguish between fantasy and reality and that's where you have complications with kids growing up

well ill just toss in my .02..im 23 now, so when i was beginning in high school (1998), thats when wrestling was beginning to really get hot, and it was alot of fun to watch..cats runnin around school doin the dx chop and whatnot, and it was hilarious..what was most entertaining was how guys like austin, hhh, the rock, jericho, etc were able to say what they wanted, and not follow a script..

fast forward to 2007..wrestling has gotten stale, with the brand extensions, too many ppv's, retirements, and smackdown (other than undertaker) has gotten so unwatchable its ridiculous, and so on..but one of the worst problems is the mic skills; nobody seems to have them anymore. if u watch raw and smackdown, LITERALLY every person will hop on the mic and say "Im so and so, and im the toughest guy here" or a chick will say "im the most dominant diva in the wwe," like, am i supposed to give u a cookie? is this 3rd grade? people like austin and the rock made their name cuz they were so creative in their insults, not running around telling people that they were the meanest..

man how i miss the wwf-wCw wars of the 90's..*sigh*
