I don't know about Marvin running from Young Dre back in the day, but I know that when I brought my Uncles up here and my Cousin Frank Nitty and Bad Azz's LowLife Gangstaz people were nervous about doing business with them. Catz was really not wanting to come deal with them and get Snoop Dogg songs, Bad Azz songs, Tray Deee songs, Kurupt songs. It took me and also the homie C-4 selling these songs and verses. They was worried about meeting up in a non-public place with crip catz.

I won't put their names out there like that, but trust me, alot of catz was pure shook. Simple and Plain. They got the features. Paid the money (the price asked no discount), but they didn't want to meet up with the artists.
