Yahoo Messenger help

Well i have Yahoo messenger, and whenever i type something to someone, or someone types something to me, nothing shows up in the box, but when some1 types to me, itll flash and shit to tell me they wrote me, but doesnt show what they typed, ive reinstalled a few times and it still gives me the same problem, is there any troubleshooting sites, or does any1 know how to fix that shit?

Sounds like your having trouble textually performing, you have impotext.

Can you still type in caps for an etextion?
