Ya Boy Sound Like Game? Fuck Naw!!

Godamn I'm so sick of these internet music fans on music sites like HHDX, AllHIPHOP.com, and XXL.com. Everytime a Ya Boy song goes up, or a Ya Boy mixtape goes up, you see hella people spitting that "Ya Boy Sounds Like Game" shit. On the real this shit is hella stupid and frankly annoying. What's funny is that Game patterned his voice after Dr. Dre, yet nobody has given Game flack for trying to sound like Dre. What's even more funny is that Ya Boy has been rapping longer than Game, has had his style before Game was famous, and is from the hood where Game began rapping (Fillmoe). Who sounds like who? Ya Boy is way more lyrical than Game. When I say lyrical I mean punchlines, imagery, metaphors, smilies....Game is a constant name dropper. Name dropping shows ZERO lyrical ability. I'm not doubting Game's ability to make hits because his songs slap, but the comparisons between him and YB need to cease. I also hear hella people criticizing YB about what he raps about. You know the typical "Guns, Drugs, Bitches, Money, Cars, Clothes," shit. Well YB is 23 years old, and I expect his lyrical content to mature as he matures. YB is the future of the WestCoast and possibly can be the savior of Bay Area music. Not savior as in ressurecting a "dead" area, but as in bringing attention back to a region that has been slept on since Pac died.

Once in a while even talked about brooklyn a couple times. I dont like game, hes weak imo and only thing I like of his was bws journal because ya boy out shined him and clyde carson was on it too. I dont support game at all. yb sounds nothing like game but his older stuff sound more different and I can tell LA is changing his style same with clyde carson. just my opinion

I agree wit most of the stuff u saying. I dont think that LA is changing YB's style nor Clyde Carson's style tho. Clyde has been rapping the same way since he came out with Team. That smooth ass quick delivery flow. YB has changed his style many times, but it's just his evolution as a rapper. It ain't like he's being influenced by LA. He still talks about Bay living, and what goes on where he from.

How is Clyde's style like Game's? Clyde had the same style when he was with the Team. Same flow, same delivery, same content. YB has changed a lot, but he still aint like Game. Game's style is constant name dropping. YB and Clyde dont do that.

Bruh Bruh Game first got put on in a major way when he went to Fillmoe. Ya Boy cousins are San Quinn and Messy Marv, YB said they inspired him to start rapping at age 17. If anything that's who he sounds like. I'm not arguing where Game made his first rap ever, I'm saying that JT put him on, and gave him a style to run with. Game came to Fillmoe, and left with a rapping style, the same style that Fillmoe rappers already had. Of course Game morphed the style and fit it to the way he wanted, but to say anybody from Fillmoe sounds like him is saying Jordan plays like Kobe. Jordan did it first.
