^^^ is that why you said it 3 times lol? Balance knows the deal and said it was a good move, aint much to be hopeful for right now for West Coast artists.
I'm tryna figure out where Ya Boy wants to take his rap career. I mean what type of rapper does he want to be? Seems like the past few months he's been releasing these fucking Kanye West type pop songs. When he raps like that, he is average at best. What does signing to Hoo Bangin' mean for YB's rap career? Because it really seems like he's in an identity crisis as far as his persona and rapping style.
Well if you listened to Mack 10's latest album he had some pretty decent features and production. Maybe Mack 10 can do the same for Ya Boy. However, Red Cafe was signed to Hoo Bangin years ago. And dude did nothing. So we will just have to wait and see. Sometimes in this game you gotta take a gamble. Hopefully he just signed a one album deal and if things go sour after the album he can go elsewhere.
Sometimes I wish I could get into the mind of a Record Exec just to understand why they keep some artists on the shelf and allow other less talented artists to shine. As much criticism as Ya Boy gets due this rockstar pop rap stuff, I almost understand why he does it. He has to do something to get the attention of the ppl making the decisions. I just hope YB doesn't turn into the Bay's version of Papoose.

Whichever artist have the biggest buzz and momentum are who get priority at a record label. I used to work for Warner and seen it happen the whole time I was there...its just how it goes. Record execs dnt care about "talented" artist they only care about artist that can sell records...period.
thats true record labels really only care about your buzz when they decide if they should put you out.
but you don't have to get signed to a major to be successful. thats whats kinda weird about ya boy he seems like he would do anything to get signed by a major. atleast it seems like he's trying to get signed. i think its a better look to do you and not sacrifice your content and style and you'll be more respected as an artist in the long run. i guess everyone has their own idea of success.
maan i used to really dig ya boys music now everything he droppin i aint feelin at all sounds too watered down, dude needa hook back up with quinn seriously
Ya Boy is slowly but surely making good moves. Play his cards right with Hoo Bangin, get his buzz back up, and I see him signing and surpassin them wack niggas in young money and being third behind drake and wayne.

Mack 10's a business man. YB's a prospect, Contracted up to get 10 cashed out. He'll be waiting patiently as a write off until his career pans out. Its an ugly game. Hope I'm wrong. Upping for the Rock Star.

ya boy's career reminds me of mistah fab's "hit me on twitter" song. just a forced attempt at crossover appeal. i mean, the whole yb the rockstar thing? cmon son
