I'm finally getting around to putting out our first mixtape. A few years back I was doing one with DJ Maniakal and DJ Quantum, but it never came to be. NOW, we are finally ready to put it together! Half of the disc will be New York artists, the other half will be Bay Area, West Coast artists. We will be selling these mixtapes in New York and the Bay Area (Sacramento, San Diego, etc.)and So if you want to get on this mixtape contact me, CESAR. I have very limited space, so be serious about this, cause I am.

Otherwise keep pushing your line. The better your music, the better my magazine.

What's the over all feel of the mixtape? I know a lot of times it falls into the cliche' of "Something hot, or a straight heater." That doesn't answer the question and usally leads to a whack project.

What feel / theme are you going with?

Just my 2: Nine out of ten times that anybody put's themselves out there & ask for submitted material, you end up with a bunch of garbage. It's a fact that most independent artist feel their own material, but never hear how it really sounds to the rest of the world. My best advice to you would be to hand pick what you want and lead the direction on how you want it to sound. Don't waste time listening to submitted material. Hand pick it & call em' on it.

Don't wait on artist for their music, or anything. You do your part by reaching out and giving them a chance. They want to feel they're superstars & have you begging them for their time / music? Fuck em' it's their loss to get on something your trying to put together. This is your project and your in the driver's seat.
