Window 7 RC?

what are the minimal requirements for windows 7? im running windows vista 64-bit on my hp and windows xp pro on my dell mini.

1 GHz or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
1 GB RAM (32-bit) / 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
16 GB available disk space (32-bit) / 20 GB (64-bit)
DirectX 9 graphics processor with WDDM 1.0 or higher driver

I'm on RC 7100 x64 and it's taking up 13.5gb. I'm on a 1tb hdd though.

I think at this point in time, it really doesn't matter how much space an OS takes up. We live in a time where 250GB HDD's are becoming standard in manufactured PC's.

yeah that would be fine for my hp. it has like a 350gb hd or something in that range...but my mini, not so much!! it would take up half of my c: drive just for windows. but i do have my external. i just dont want to run all my programs on it. maybe i will have to buy a larger SD card.

Update XP though and it'll get a lot bigger. Mine at work is almost 6gbs.

yeah im sure with SP2 and SP3 or whatever the latest is it gets bigger. I just went off the specs on microsoft's site.

I can wait for the final build. XP runs fine for me atm.
