I'm guessing no. Originally I might've said yes since the story was "he didn't get the vocals in on time and we had to move on with mastering," but since it's changed to "he was over seas and couldn't do them" or something of that nature, I'm guessing they reached out and he agreed, but would've been unable to record them for them within their deadline, so the idea was thrown out the window.
