I know a lot of y'all cats around here been followin Keak way back since the 3x days and even the dual committee days..
I been a keak fan since I first heard him, what first set me off on him was his voice, never heard another cat rap with that raspy of a voice, but its cool though to me! and we all know Keak puts in work when it comes to networkin and gettin on as many peoples shit as he can, keak put some blood sweat n tears into the game for years..

and here we are with the smash hit single "tell me when to go"

suddenly the name Keak is startin to circulate outside of cali!
which to me is lovely cus I feel if Keak gets some exposure then people will delve into his old shit and see all the other bay cats he been fuckin with for years then get put on to them..If all goes well this could be a major breakthrough for the bay!
but
I also know how finacky the music industry can be as well, and I know people can fall off just as soon as they came, even if they been puttin work in the shadows for years..
anyways my concern is
what do y'all folks ( especially those residing in the bay area ) think the outcome will be to Keak all of the sudden gettin mainstream airplay and havin his name come out peoples mouths across the nation..
do you feel that this could be the big brealthrough and golden oppurtunity for him and other bay cats to follow..
or are you fearing that it might fizzle out and keak will once again come back down to bein strictly a bay area legend..?!
me personally, I want to see it ( it as in keak and all bay area acts ) blow up because I think a lot of gangster rap roots and tradition came from the bay and never really were acknowledged, maybe this will open peoples eyes as to where a lot of the gangster rap from the 90's got its influences from, and now as far as westcoast music goes the industry is gettin killed by the likes of the south and east IMO..so I truly hope this pans out to be a blowup process for the bay, but what is y'all opinions..
do you think Keak is the right man for the job, will his newfound popularity last..let me hear it!?!?

i fuckin hope so, Keak is straight sick, some people dont like his style but i love that shit, he got lyrics and hes unique.
i just copped that Kunta Kinte cd, and i dont know if its a legit release because its not AllNDaDoe, but that shit is still sick. Keak just continues to rip up basically every track he touches.
i hope he gets real big, we know he will stay reppin the bay too

RAPPIN "4" TAY WAS ONCE ALL OVER MTV AND NOW HE BARELY HAS A CAREER EVEN IN THE BAY. NOT TO TAKE ANYTHING AWAY FROM "4" TAY I STILL THINK HE'S DOPE BUT IT'S THE SAD TRUTH.

I JUST HOPE THE SAME DOESN'T HAPPEN TO KEAK.
