The only reson why I put KG in the MVP race with Kobe is cuz historically the best player on the best team wins it.

I'm as die-hard as you can get as a Warrior fan and a Kobe hater but you can't deny talent.

then leave Kobe out since he has Gasol Right? c'mon man. Kobe has GREAT team around him, not sayin that he dont deserve credit for what he did but u cant just leave KG out of it. if u leavin KG out then Kobe can go wit em while LeBron and Chris duke it out
Celtics would easily get to the playoffs without KG... cna you say the same about Kobe nd the Lakers?

ROFL @ the Lakers being "GREAT" without Kobe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is between Paul and Bryant, period!!!

IMO, I'd say Kobe should win, but if Paul wins, it's still a fair decision. I'm a firm believer in "2nd place is 1st loser"...but if Paul wins, he should have to beat out Kobe. Kobe second is the only way I see it going if he doesn't win it.

As of now Chris Paul should win it... if not then Kobe. Kobe is long overdue though. They should have been awarded him an MVP especially that year when he scored 81.

Paul deserves the MVP this year; I can't say that he doesn't. But so does Kobe. I'd be content with either, although my pick would be Bryant.

Other than that, IMO, 3rd place is a couple of notches down.

I dont think he should win MVP because an MVP doesnt insult his teammates, demand to be traded, belittle the owners or humiliate his teammates. And even though I know its a different seasons, but MVPs dont quit on their team when they start to feel pressure (last years playoffs). You know, I NEVER EVER see other laker players talking to kobe casually. Never joking around... and if it does happen, its EXTREMELY awkward.. He just carries this holier than thou aura around him that I don't think is deserving of a most VALUABLE player award.

best player? maybe. mvp. no.

What? How does he have "no chance"? Have you watched him play? You do know that the Hornets were one of the worst franchises BEFORE he got there, right?
Yes I've seen him play and he has some MVP numbers this year but does not play like an MVP. If you're down a point with 5 seconds left in the game I can name plenty of players I would rather take the game winning shot than CP3.

Like I said earlier, HISTORICALLY every year the MVP of the league goes to the best player on the team with the BEST record.

No too many pg's EVER win the MVP award. The only exception is when you have the best record in the league (ex. Nash, Magic) which the Hornets do not have a chance of obtaining. You also have no chance winning the MVP on your 1st breakout superstar season which this is for CP3.

So that's why he has NO chance. At most he'll get 1 or 2 1st place votes.

CP3 should win it!!

Hmm... werent you the same guy who said Lebron should win it. Even when I told you CP3 is second to Kobe you continued to say "Lebron was the most important to his team" blah blah blah... "lebron should win it every year" blah blah blah then you went on to say "U right cause Peja has always been a balla and it was only a matter of time before Chandler balled and dont forget about West who has been ballin a few years now! He has a cool cast so dont try to down play them!! Got Em!!" blah blah blah... insinuating that you thought Paul was important but not nearly important as Lebron or even Kobe to thier respective teams.

So just curious what have you seen all of the sudden from Paul that made you change your mind and put him in front of Lebron? I mean he has been doing the same shit all year long.

Or is it that Lebron isnt really a hot name right now and Paul is the front runner opposing Kobe.

Like the article said man... its a lot of Kobe haters.

Im just trying not to get my hopes up though to set my self up to be really mad.

Like I said though MVP isnt as important as FMVP.

With all due respect, you're an idiot. 1 or 2 votes? LMFAO! He'll get more than anyone else, except for MAYBE Kobe.

Give the kid credit; he's young. FIRST breakout season; it's not like it's his 12th season (Kobe)...

@ Ingrid: Everything you listed as ''not MVP material'' applied to Michael Jordan, also. He was as big of an asshole as anyone else, treated his teammates like shit many times, punched players...LOL. And he's my favorite player (BY FAR) ever to play the game.

With all due respect you're the idiot. I said he'll get 1 or 2 FIRST place votes. He might get the most 3rd or 4th place votes. He WON'T get more FIRST place votes than Kobe, KG, or Lebron.

If you knew anything about MVP voting then you'd understand.

this is an unfair statement cause of coarse we would make the playoffs but we in the east so that really isnt saying much. i say the teams kinda equal out if KG wasnt on our team and Kobe wasnt on yours. they would just be goo teams ya know well atleast thats how i feel. i mean u guys got a hella deep bench and a great starting lineup even with bynum being injured. theres a big chance u would make the playoffs as well. once again who does LeBron got? Ben Wallace the guy who has been havin back spasms since they picked him up. MVP should go to LeBron just like how Kobe shoulda got the nod last year and they fucked up and gave it to the russians. either way u look at the value situation LeBron got Kobe beat, u want stats LeBron got the better one and if u looking for a guy where the team would crumble without em then it's lebron. when lebron was out this year for like 10 games the cavs lost em all for crying out loud lol
