Mounds of homework, and yet, here I am...humoring myself, more so than being challenged by any reasonable standard. But thus is the framework in which I operate.
You want a quote war. You pine for a quote war. You continue to not respond in whole chunks, but rather, chunk by chunk.....your wish is my command. Enjoy your 15 minutes of E-Fame while they last.

I agree to an extent. its those rappers that claim they placed their own shoes on the main character of this "scene" or this "movie". but i also feel that folx need to expand beyond that. my point wasnt the authenticity of their lyrics no lets try to not put any more words in my mouth....back to the topic now...
Friend, the topic is Rap and God. What the fuck exactly do you propose getting "back to"?
Rapping compels you to speak in 1st person. Fact of life. Writing movies compels you to write parts for individuals to fill. Way it is. Drawing compels you to focus on the message rather than its individual components. How the game goes.
You whine about religion in rap music. Your chief argument here is not that it is being done--it certainly is; your main, selfish concern here is that it is pervasive and does not show a single sign of stopping or even slowing down.
Your solution to this, is to batter. Bash, insult, and demean. Your main method of attack is creating the false choice between Rapping (especially among those who have witnessed or been party to crimes, and speak on them) and being God-fearing, as if there is no bridge, no middle ground. This you do out of spite.
Your secondary method, when confronted with anything other than a fellow Atheist and sympathizer, is to play the 'contradiction'/'hypocrite' card, which again, is a fucked up way to go about carrying out your agenda considering you have no grounds.
As far as your kind--and your numbers on Siccness are staggering--is concerned,
Your religion means nothing to you. Nothing at all. It is simply a front you use to bash (or give false 'advice' to) other people, and then when they inquire about your own religion, you have some bullshit they probably never even heard of as your so-called `credentials'.
YOU STRESSED: "I DO think its funny how a rapper can have a whole bunch of explicit content in there music but the first person they thank is god.. i find it ironic but thats them"
"Funny" and "Ironic" are not very far at all from "Perverted" and "Unorthodox", the exact argument that your counterparts are making and you are preparing to launch. But not just yet! No, you're too smart for that.
so would u say they would claim to be good christians or christians by convenience???? i still have a hard time finding the justification for only using the parts of the bible that claim to be most beneficial but ignoreing the rest of it.. i guess thats how u cope with itz contradictions i guess..
First of all, I'm not a Christian. I don't have to `deal' with anything in the Bible.
Secondly...here you go. Launching the offensive, saying everything but "Rappers are not and cannot be Christians, unless they specifically rap about Christ and being a Christian." I mean, you aren't capable of just coming right out and saying it, but this is what you're getting at and what you really wish to convey. Unfortunately, it is not an argument you can come within 10 miles of sustaining. It is a losing battle.
I hate to break it to you, but your attack is meaningless. You are not going to succeed in secularizing Rap music--period. The moment it is secularized, is the moment there becomes more successful white rappers than black. As long as Blacks are in control of rap music, religion is not going anywhere.
an anti-black agenda?? LMFAOOOOOO i hope your kidding.. tell me how race came into any of this we have been disscusing. u said that shit about never listening to a rap cd twice already. are u waiting for me to say "ive been listening too rap for yada yada, brotha lynch this, northern expozure that.."....ITS not gonna happen. if u dont already kno what im about and what i listen to then then your not worth the effort to explain..
Uh....whatever that second half was supposed to mean.
Friend, I have explained this. Hip-Hop--Black Music. Black people--Most religious in the country. Is there something you don't get about removing religion from hip-hop that might very well constitute an Anti-Black agenda?
Blacks are not being good little sheep and rejecting God and Christianity, so here you come to try to confuse and ridicule those representatives of the poorest Black communities--the great majority of Rappers--that are fucking up your plans for Worldwide Atheism. Or since you're going to hate that and nit pick and hold up the Wicca god as your basis--Non-ChristiJudaiIslam-ism.
This is what you want. This is what you'll never get. This is what you will not even make progress towards. You fail on all accounts.
yet they are like assholes cuz everybody has one.. so u can hate me for mine all you want cuz that only negates the legitamacy and value of your own.. funny how u raise the race issue and your the one saying "nigga"...u look far from being black.. i listen to your soundclick garbo and u need werk.... but thats jus my OPINION
My blackness has never been in question. On the other hand, I really do hope YOU'RE Black, sitting here and trying to argue the use of the word Nigga with me, notwithstanding the fact I was quoting a song lyric.
http://www.go2lyrics.com/N/Nas/92537.html -- A good album...I'm suprised you haven't heard it :hurt:
Cheap shot at my music, eh? And to think--I've been taking it easy on you, taking pity on you for being such weak, uninspiring competition.
Another time...your opinion on this matter means shit. You do not know what you are talking about. "God has no place in rap music unless its labeled chritstian rap..." -- This quote alone from you is Game, Set, Match.
Maybe you ought to go somewhere else, and give your `opinion' (as if, in the real world, some are not better than others) on legos or snack cakes or something you actually know about.
i underlined an argueable phrase in your statement. i always thought white folx were more religious and in this country (except like in california) they are the majority, look, they are the onez who put bush in office BTW incase u didnt kno..
Who the fuck cares about what you have "always thought"? If you have a problem with what i said, show me the URL. Provide some links to information that speaks to the contrary. Get off your ass and do the work.
but thats beside the point anyway, if ur saying im anti black by saying god has no place in a rap cd (thats expected too sell anyway) then you might as well claim all athiests/satanists/wiccans and pagans alike are racist.. u need to start thinking ahead of your typing.
Dude, most of them ARE racist, whether they realize it or not. For one, the overwhelming majority of them are racist against White people, though they like to lie about it and say "I have lots of White friends", or talk about how they "talk to Whites all the time", etc etc. Nothing but token White friends and associates they have and utilize to hide their deep-seated racism and hate message.
You describe yourself as "brown", and I can't help but wonder if you are among this type. What does "brown" even mean, sir? We are speaking on Race here. Offer up yours so we might see what perspective exactly you are coming from.
