Looking back in history, besides the snitches, there really wasn't anyone who did more harm to Cosa Nostra than him.

Going out to his social club at night and blatantly discussing murders in it after his boss Paul Castellano was indicted a year earlier for WIRE TAPS IN HIS SOCIAL CLUB. Drawing unneeded attention to himself through those expensive ass suits and haircuts every day, throwing 4th of July celebrations with illegal fireworks. Wasn't Cosa Nostra successful because it was "unseen?"

Guy officially "boss" for what, a year before he got pinched? What prosperity did he usher in? He was known for beating two cases from an incompetent state prosecutor before the feds finally shut him down, and tight suits. Guy was probably the last and worst don the mob ever had.

^^^^^.....it's funny you say that Apathy......I was just watchin that movie Gotti the other day, and I was debating this to myself......even though he was a savage, he was kinda everything the Mob was against, and opposite of what they stood for. But he also beat his first fed case when he was on trial under the Rico Staue......he was found not guilty, but they say that jury was fixed........interesting subject though....very debatable.

^^ YEah, as a matter of fact Sammy Gravano, the snitch underboss, had a hand in fixing the jury and offered grand jury testimony against the juror and the other conspirators.

Gotti was a HORRIBLE boss and he single-handedly brought the Gambino Family to it's knees.....People can blame Sammy The Bull all they want but it was GOTTI who was a media whore and just a plain dumbass...This is why the only family left with any REAL power is the Genovese Family....cause they stayed out of the spotlight and weren't worried about being "Hollywood"

Umm, yea, Al Pacino was just a drug lord in SCARFACE...he wasn't even Italian in that move, let alone in the Mafia.

Al Capone, the REAL Scarface, now HE was a gangstER!!!

Arguably the only boss as bad as Gotti was Mooney Giancana, and they got him before he could fuck everything up. I think it was 7 shots in the head with a .22

Ive honestly never really been that interested in the NY families, with the exception of the Murder Machine and Murder Inc. cuz they knew what it was about

The Outfit is the perfect example of how Cosa Nostra was sposed to be run
