im watching sportscenter and theres so many stories about athletes with gun posession charges. we all know about gilbert arenas bringing guns to his locker. i just read about the leading scorer of Tennessee college hoops being charges with gun possession and now dropped from the team. i mean, dude is a star athlete and nba draft prospect, why would he jeopardize his career with a gun? are college athletes in need to be out robbing people or is it for protection or do people just love guns?

Athletes carry guns for the same reasons most other people do.

I don't see why people are holding athletes to a different standard when millions of ordinary Americans carry guns everyday.

It's simply the reason I named, with slight exceptions - mufuckas seeking them out in their private places to rob them. Athletes are hanging with their old homies, associating with street types so street shit (carrying a pistola) is necessary.

You see the old bitch wit millions on her neck, finger, ears, wrists, walkin down rodeo dr. wit a strap? She don't got to cuz her associates rob mufuckas the legal way.

Why do they carry them illegally & unregistered when they hav hella $ & clean criminal records so they can easily register them? cuz theyre stupid & wanna act like thugs even tho they neva even been in a fight.

^ this right here... I don't have a problem with them carrying guns... but do that shit safe and legally... don't do dumb shit like Gilbert Arenas... they need to protect themselves, but at the same time they need to realize they can fuck up their careers by trying to act like a thug

Why shouldn't athletes have a gun? There's a lot of leeches and jealous muthafuckaz in the world. Some people don't wanna see the next man doin' good. Athletes got nice cars, live in expensive houses, wear millions in jewelry, got hella money, etc. They deserve to enjoy the fruits of their labor. If someone wants to try and get them for what they got, they have every right to protect themselves.

Get yo shit registered, go to the shootin' range every now and again and shit will be cool. Athletes and celebrities are bigger targets than anyone. Under the Second Amendment of the Constitution, everyone is guaranteed the right to bear arms. Why should athletes be exempt?
