There was a time when Every1 from tha Town Respected Hammer. Then out of Nowhere it seemed to be the Norm for rappers to either diss Arsenio Hall or Mc Hammer. I understand why Run DMC had beef with Hammer but in reality, What did Hamma' ever do 2 ya'll???

So what if he danced for Popcorn Chicken or did the splitz for some Pepsi. Hammer took care of his folks. He made it cool for these rap niggas 2 get those endorsements.

Hammer wasn't no punk either. Ask Ice Cube & 3rd Bass <---Shook 1's

He began with the rawness http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNE7NsBII2Qhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNE7NsBII2Q

Got some paper & re-did the game http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5Tt8WXrW8k4
But when he did this shit... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9DuaWY5faZE I was out done! I still secretly copped them albums because he always kept his spiritual roots alive but I wasnt fallin for this shit

So Hammer, I know for a fact that you'll get wind of this Thread bCuz ur folks is a memeber here. Im begging. Please, Please Please... Work things out with Dontay, Call up Ace and 2 Bigg Mc and get things Crackin again!!!

I think the flamboyant style of his music fell out of touch from the wave of gangster music that was takin over at the time, specifically west coast stuff with Dr. Dre, Snoop, and Pac, also after the failure of his last major label release, he found himself at a point where music may not be they way for him after losing all the money he had, and he chose a religious path instead. As far as people making fun of him, i thinks the same as the way everyone makes fun of icons from the 80's and 90's.
