According to Maiocco...Holmgren was possibly interested in returning to the sidelines. IF, and that's a big IF, he does decide to come to SF...it would be as a HC, not a GM.
Also, Tim Kawakami claims that Jed York is focused on Harbaugh and Gruden for the HC position.
Sounds good to me. Just make sure the GM and HC can actually work together, and stay the hell out of football related decisions nephew Jed.

Billick would be a good HC. You're tripping.
He's familiar with the organization, has a history putting together good offenses on Defensive teams. Don't be so sure you have any idea who is on the Niners radar.
The niner fans want Gruden or Harbaugh. That doesn't mean the organization does. They have other things to consider.
For example - the niners want to bring in a GM. No way Gruden comes back to coaching unless he either is the de facto GM or hand picks his own GM.
Learn a little bit about these names you throw around.

Jed York SAID IT HIMSELF, those are his two TOP CANDIDATES...
And Jed York also said that his uncle Eddie D. might play a big role in the 49ers organization this year, in others words. He'll have a job with the 49ers.....

as far as QB, that problem will get fixed during the off-season....so I'm not worried about that for now...
