Montana and Elway are light years better than the number 3 qb on the list...

I'm just stating this for debate purposes. Montana beat Elway when they faced in Superbowl. John Elway had the arm and accuracy better than any other QB I have ever seen. But Montana mops the floor with Elway. Brady has the rings to arguable be better than Elway and his stats, records, are there too. Think about this though, if it wasn't for Eli Manning, Brady would have 5 rings. Let me repeat. Brady would have 5 rings on his hand if not for Eli Manning. Eli has beat Brady head to head in Superbowls twice. I think that deserves recognition, if we are going to say Brady is 2 or 3 best QB so far.

I know it's not popular, but it's true.

Give Marino the best offensive player in history to throw the ball to for his entire career and his QB records would be untouchable. Period.
FAIL! When it comes to QB's it's not just about records, besides Montana was tearing shit up without Jerry Rice. He led his squad to 2 super bowl victories while Rice was still running routes @ Mississippi Valley State University.

Montana Drafted 79'
Rice Drafted 85'

Therefore he didn't have Rice his entire career, also when Montana went to the Chiefs he was balling there too without Jerry.

Same goes for Jerry Rice, Montana didn't make him nor did Steve Young. He went to the raiders pushing 40 and still balled with side arm Gannon slinging him TD's. Point is Jerry Rice and Montana Would've been Great no matter where they went. If one person deserves credit for making them not just great but Greatest of all time it's Bill Walsh.

This is why I said Montana literally mops the floor when compared to Elway. Because he came to Chiefs in '93 and took us to the AFC Championship. We all already know about the classic comeback he had against the Broncos that year.

Montana was/is a God when it comes to QB's.

I get the winning perspective of Joe Montana and all that and i know he is the best leader the quarterback position has ever seen but.....

When talking about throwing the ball around the field its not even close Iron, Marino is the best QB to ever play the game. Sure he doesn't have the winning accolades of Montana but Montana doesn't have the accolades of Marino when it comes to passing records either.

You're just saying "fail" because its your team we're talking about here and no matter what you say here, Dan Marino NEVER had the type of teams around him Montana had. NEVER.

I did jump the gun about the "entire career" deal though, it was 8 years together. my bad with that.

As with him being with the Chiefs. Check again, I wouldn't exactly call that "balling". His stats were slightly above average. We had a very potent defense when he was here and they were the main reason we were winning at that time.

Sorry bro.....I think Marino is one of the most OVERRATED QB's ever.

I can't stand Marino while he was playing and I really can't stand him now that he's not.

Marino and Jim Kelly rock that boat together.

You are clearly letting your hatred for the man cloud your judgement here.

Jim Kelly had better weapons around him and one of the best defenses in that era and still couldn't win the big one. Although it does say something that he was still able to get to the Superbowl 4 times in a row. When comparing Kelly and Marino as "passers" its not even comparable, Marino blows him out of the water.

Hey I am not even going to deny that my hatred for Marino doesn't let me see him in your light.

But let's be real here. Peyton Manning is better than Marino, statistically he will have a better career. And Peyton (Who I am a Huge fan of) ain't even fucking with Montana, Elway, and Brady right now. His own brother is better than him.

So that tells you Marino ain't even in my Top 5.

Atleast your keepin' it real with how much you hate Marino. lol

I will say this though, Manning had Edge, Harrison, Wayne, Stokley and Clark as offensive weapons when he was in Indy too. Lets not forget their defense was an opportunistic bunch aswell while he was there. They got him the ball back alot, those times came in handy for him when he wasn't able to sustain drives down field.

Who did Marino have down there in Miami? Mark Duper and Mark Clayton ONLY. There was no running game in Dolphin land at that time. There was also no defense to get him the ball back either. All the Dolphins had was Shula, Marino, Duper and Clayton. lol

Marino better than Montana? lol

What happened when they met in the SuperBowl at Stanford? Montana's team won (without Jerry Rice).
Dude, the Dolphins defense was one of the worst in the league that year. They only made the Superbowl because of Marino!

You don't believe me? Go check the stats for yourself.

It's good homie, not saying you're lying but if Marino was that good he would have made it to the SuperBowl again when they had a better defense.

Marino was a great qb one of the greatest but I wouldn't say he's better than Montana. Montana won 4 SuperBowls (2 without Rice) and Montana was clutch. With the game on the line you wouldn't want no other qb leading your team. The only way to beat Montana was to take him out physically that's why the Giants had success back in the 80's and early 90's.
