On this board, I see much more racism towards whites than any other race.


I really don't see much racism in my daily life, but I also don't live in an area where there would be too much of it. Syracuse has a huge black population downtown. I live in the suburbs pretty much...

My place in Pittsburgh is in the Jewish area of the city. Pittsburgh is a lot like the bay, with the racial diversity everywhere.


I know when I lived in San Diego, there was a lot of racism from the latin community towards whites, but there is also the town of Klantee.

Very true, but I also see a lot of racism towards Mexicans, or ''latinos'', that is laughed off, or dismissed as a joke. When someone makes a comment about ''sending the wetback across the border so he can have 20 kids and break pinatas''...it's funny.

But when someone says that ''the nigger should go back to Africa to paint their face and beat on some bongo drums while living like a savage with spears''...that's RACIST, and that person is immediately banned.

Double standards are everywhere, though...big deal.

People need to understand that if they're going to make fun of the ''wetbacks and spics''...they shouldn't cry when someone calls them a nigger.

So whats the difference in a black person making a racist statement about white people and a racist statement about black people. In other words, what makes it ok for a person to discriminate on his own race but not another. I think mexicans discriminate more then anyone, they discriminate on their own people almost more then other races.

This seems to be the reality of America huh. So why can't we just make jokes about other cultures w/o it coming off as a racist statement. Maybe because America holds a history of being racist? Even if whites were to become the minority in America, the majority of the people in our Government would still be white.
