I'd say 49ers definitely if they had a better QB, but since it's Alex Smith, I gota remain optimistic for my sqaud. If the Oline holds up and doesn't give up big plays like last season, I think Hasselbeck will do good.
These players gota stay healthy thrughout the whole season in order for the team to accomplish something other than 3rd in NFC West: Lofa Tatupu(played 5 games last season), Matt Hasselbeck(played 14, but behind a weak o-line, which consisted of 2nd, 3rd and even a 4th string LT), Russell Okung, Leroy Hill(played in 11 games last season), Marcus Trufant(played in 10 games last season), and Chris Spencer(He was taking snaps with his left hand due to his broken right thumb, and was consistantly giving up shitty snaps, so he was moved to RG, while a rookie went to replace him). Everyone might think I'm trying to make excuses for the team, but a team can't play good football if their best players are not playing. Also Greg Knapp was the OC last season.
If the team can't stay healty, the 49ers will take the division.
