As for all three teams finishing tied and having common games come into play, Miami MUST beat the Jets in Week 17 unless the Jets lose the two preceding games and Miami wins the two preceding games, which would have Miami two games in front of the Jets with one game left. It is unlikely that the Jets will lose to the Bills next week at home, although given the way the Jets have played the last two weeks, this is a possibility. It all comes down to this as far as winning out. If only one of the three teams wins out, that team wins the division. If the Jets and Pats win out, the Jets win the division by virtue of a better division record (5-1 to 4-2). If the Pats and Dolphins win out, the Dolphins win the division by virtue of a better record in common games (7-1 to 6-2). The Jets and Dolphins cannot both win out, because they play each other in Week 17. GO DOLPHINS!!!
