Who should Floyd Mayweather fight next?

the thing about manny is that he's NOT a boss or a business man. it's sad really when you think about it... when his contract was up he could have taken the cotto route and keep his options open to cross promotion and not lock himself down to just one promoter. he has "pacquiao promotions" and could be doing his top rank/hbo fights and his goldenboy/showtime fights but he fucked himself. no one to blame but himself.
floyd IS a boss. when the demand for mayweather/pacquioa was at a all time high he stuck to his word and said he would get the bigger share and wanted the drug testing done. anyone else says "fuck it" there's too much money to be made here i'll let him not do the random drug testing, get him half of everything & listen to his promoter and let him chose where the fight happens... 3 years later floyd's stock is at a all time high and manny's is at a all time low. BOSS.

Even though I think Khan would be a better fight stylistically and moneywise, I want to see Floyd fight a southpaw. Had Williams not gotten paralyzed, that would have been the fight.

see, people thin I'm delusional but in another thread, I said Mayweather should fight Broner and what did Schaefer come out and say before Broners' loss? He wants that fight too! I'm telling tha when I say Mayweather is in Showtime not just for money but Showtime wanted certain fighters to become PPV worthy and they are not. Maidana deserves the Floyd fight now but Showtime for whatever reason will give Broner the rematch to save face and still make Broner ppv worthy
he asked Canelo to be the undercard for his fight, its the best business move for both of them and those are his words not mine. so since when did he ever need anyone for an undercard? Danny will not be on the undercard as it was already announced he will headline Barclays next year and he won't chase Mayweather. Broner just lost and should have been the undercard so that leaves Canelo. He saiys no so what, we are left with Floyd vs Khan? Would you pay $80 for that fight? and please answer that question
Even if Floyd's next PPV flops he still makes his $30-$40m because his guarantee purse is so ridiculous. That just means the other guys won't make much money or break even or at worst take a small loss (like Showtime did with Guerrero fight). But Showtime really doesn't care because it's about the bigger picture of showcasing Floyd on their network, plus they made good money already with the Canelo fight.
how 1 night changes everything... all of us boxing fans and the media have been trying to swallow (pause, no homo) the idea of khan/mayweather for the past month or so now everyone is saying maidana/mayweather and it's well deserved for chino. the story line is there to build the fight up plus now we get another stacked undercard as we did with mayweather/canelo maybe khan/ortiz as the co-main event? khan/broner? broner/garcia? I know goldenboy is going to deliver a hell of a card on cinco de mayo weekend....
Both Khan and Maidana are terrible opponents for Floyd. Maidana's win over Broner doesn't mean Maidana is great it means Broner was exposed as a one dimensional, flat-footed, over hyped fighter. I always thought of Maidana as a C class fighter, albeit a tough one, but tough guys are a dime a dozen in boxing.
But I understand the problem is a lack of big names left to fight. I'd still prefer Lara or Thurman, but I get they aren't "names".

I'm hearing rumors of Garcia making his 147 pound debut against Paulie.
I'm not sure why but Garcia vs Mayweather never seems to be possible. I don't know if it's cause they are buddies, or Al Haymon doesn't want it (yet), or if they want to try to build Garcia more.

U said the same thing about Maidana fighting Broner. U said he was the perfect opponent for Broner and look what happened? Its called boxing and thats the great thing about it. U never know what might happen. I would rather see Maidana/Mayweather than Khan/Mayweather myself. I think its more of a challenge due to Maidana's power. I dont think it matters who Mayweather fights because he is gonna win anyway so why not fight an exciting hard hitting fighter rather than a glass jaw guy. We just want fights that people deserve. Maidana pulled off a nice upset and its a hot story now so I think a Maidana/Mayweather fight would sell very well actually. Got Em!!
