the south puts out a ton of weak ass shit every year. i think i rather listen to hyphy shit. BUT there is a few rappers down there with talent. it's sad Jay Electronica wasn't even in this poll. only one person mentioned him. he has delivery and lyrical skills. he just needs a solid producer and he will be one of the top rappers from the south.

Chamillionaire = mixtape rapper
Lil Wayne = wtf
David Banner = pop rapper
T.I. = raps for 14-17 year olds, all the new and improved good boy image is for his case
Young Jeezy = haven't got into him
Plies = ok.. he's just bein himself, reminds me of ludacris always talkin bout hoes
Rick Ross = as far as an entertainer, i rather listen to him over 50 or Lil Wayne
Gucci Mane = fake ass blood mixtape rapper
Killer Mike = fallen off kinda
Webbie = annoying ass voice

i haven't got into Z-Ro but i hear he's not that bad. Scarface is still dope. Lil Keke was koo but fell off. Andre 3000 has talent but the music he makes ain't really for me. Bun-B is tight too bad he can't rap with Pimp-C anymore. 3-6 Mafia sold out but they are one of the best groups from the south.

MR. JACKARTIST510, your wrong about Cham. On his first solo he had the 2 hottest singles of the year. Its not possible to do that if your a "mixtape rapper".

your some what right, he fucked up on his second album doing a concept album like that. i have a feeling hes gonna really bring it on his new solo thats about to come out.
