Which part of the bay do you think has held it down the most in Bay Rap history?

Vallejo arguably has arguably the most talented family not only in Bay rap, but rap period (40 and crew) not to mention Mac Dre, Mac Mall, etc.

Oakland has had legends - Too $hort, Luniz, Digital Underground

Frisco - the heart of the bay has probably, imo, the most consistent rhyme-slayer period (quinn) amongst other like Nickatina, Cougnut, RBL etc.

Sactown - C-Bo, X-Raided, Lynch, and the rest of the crew.

All these areas have held there own and has contributed to the history of Bay Area Rap and will continue to do so, but which area do you think has had the most talent and holds it down the most consistently?

Well, Vallejo, Frisco and SacTown have always held it down in one way or another from '92 and on, but Oakland's sagged a little bit--they seem to have had a bigger drought in terms of newer artists than the other three cities, although that could change. Richmond, San Jose and Pittsburg have all had dope product, too, but I think that those areas have yet to hit their "peaks." The best from them may be yet to come...

As for myself, I would say that Vallejo Rap is what I play when I want to have fun and party, Frisco Rap is what makes me use my brain the most in terms of lyrics and concepts, SacTown Rap is what gives me the biggest adrenaline rush, and Oakland Rap is what I listen to most when I want to chill and take it easy...

PEACE!

as far as albums sold, I am sure it is vallejo cause of 40,b-legit, the click, n2deep. that is a lot of records sold between all them.

second would be frisco. they probably have the most talent.

both oakland and sac put it down too.

I personally prefer to think of the bay as a whole though.

Im from Frisco and I have to admit that Vallejo has shined the most on originality and trend setting. Tied with my hometown. Thats just my opinion though, but Northern Cali as a whole has always been the hardets in this indie shit.
