I would have 2 say Frisco as far as quantity of tight artists and Vallejo are far as Quality of top artists bein Mac Dre and E-40.......the only frisco rapper in the same league with them is San Quinn

Most of ya'll are just naming current Bay rappers that just rap, no legends.. Oakland started Hip Hop in the Bay area and the most units were sold by artists out of Oakland. Too Short is the greatests of all time from the Bay imho. And don't forget all of the words that came out of the town that is a part of hip hop culture period now(not just with in the bay). Shit like Fasho, Fashizzy, Hella, Go Dumb, go stupid, Hyphy, Bi-atch/Bi-otch, all that shit came from the town. I'm sorry to say but between Too Short in the 80's, The Luniz, Digital UnderGround and Pac in the early and mid 90's, and 3XKrazy in the later 90's, besides E-40 the Town is all that was poppin. Mac Dre was locked up and wasn't getting too much exposure until he got back out. And Frisco just isn't a city that has produced too many stars on a national scale like Oakland has imo.

man im going to say this one more time cuz its startin to not make sense, for yall to not mention Oakland is a trip. thats boo boo cause we all know oakland if you want to get down to the nitty grit, is the epitome shit flurished outward and im going to be real about it, look back on the history of bay rap and lets go with that. Vtown put out two of the biggest stars probably 1 and 3 in ranking, but oakland has influenced the entire bay rap scene LIKE NO OTHER, it ain't about reppin cities right now and like i said before we all are going to be biased, but come on now...sweep that shit unda the doormat if you talkin about oakland ain't put out some of the best u fucking trippin. this is meant for the dukes who ain't even mention or credit the town in any which way. vtown and oakland period. and for the sco, 11-5 is my second favorite bay group ever and bailey is in my top 5 right now and the rock is my favorite cd for the past 6 months don't get mad...

has to be Oakland. the thread said "artist", not just rappers. in oakland, you gotta include: zion i, goapele, keyshia cole, hiero (souls of mischief)... that right there already shits on half of the list named in Frisco and Vallejo when it comes to QUALITY music. Frisco 2nd cause cats out here in the city stay dropping hits after hits. Vallejo, Sac, then pittsburg.
