Anyone have any good experiences with chain banks like Washington Mutual, Bankf of America etc.? I'm trying to switch banks from this local bullshit. Who's good to go with for checking and savings accounts?

Washington Mutual. Its free checking and savings accounts. No monthly fees and now they have a new atm thing going on where they dont charge customers for taking money from an atm not affiliated with washington mutual. its decent..

Washington Mutual is the BEST... I've banked with US Bank.. Wells Fargo and First Interstate.. Washington Mutual is by far the best-- when it comes to fees, customer service, account options, the online help and how user friendly their shit is... yeah..

Only thing about BofA is that they have ATM machines EVERYWHERE...

BOA is full of crooks, Wellsfargo is who i got now, there not half bad. I would switch to WAsh Mutual but im too lazy.

i bank with national1st credit union, its alright i just hate that you gotta wait 2 working days to get your money if you deposit in an atm. i do like that 7-11 atms are free of charge.

I've been with Wells Fargo literally since I was 5 years old, and never had any problems, but I know lots of people who have had trouble with them. They have shitty interest, too, so I don't know how well they'll do for you.

Washington Mutual seems like a good place, people usually have good things to say about them. I've been contemplating switching to them lately.

They're telling me I have a $300 minimum on my savings after 12 years of not having it. Their customer service (on the phone) is good and most branches are good. But where I'm at right now, I've never had more problems with retarded mother fuckers in my LIFE. I didn't get my statement for 6 months cause they didn't change my address correctly, after I went down there like 4 times about it.
