My son is starting this year for the East Bay War Eagles and I have his helmet and pads so far. I need to buy his cup, mouthpiece and cleats now. Where is the best place to pick those up at ?

get his cleats from eastbay.com like the others suggested... I just ordered my sons some cleats one a pair of the jordan cleats and the other wanted some s. carter cleats.

sometimes you can catch good deals as well... I saw some nice detachable cleats for like $29.99 . You can also get gloves and pretty much anything else you need.

Mouthpieces are cheap and pretty easy to find. Our league gives them out to our kids. How much does that league charge to play?

eastbay, like everyones saying, is the best, but since your kids young, the gear probably wont last more than two seasons since he's still growin, and esatbay is *usually* more expensive cause its high quality.
but places like big 5 are complete shit, terrible product quality over in there.

My son is playing Pop Warner too... I didn't order nothing off of the internet. Big 5 is weak. Try Copelands (Valley Fair Mall) or try SportsAuthority (used to be Sportsmart). I think it's one in Milpitas dog! SportsAuthority in Milpitas by Walmart and Best Buy. You gotta hurry up though before people starts buying up all the equipment. I know they gotta lot of cups and mouthpieces.... but you better hurry because cleats go fast.

I special ordered my kids' helmets from Riddell. Only $99/each for the Little Pro Revolution helmets.
A child's head will not change much in size b/w 7-12 years old. You may go through 2 helmets total during these 6 football years.
I wish i could buy my kid some good grass cleats with the screw it cleat, but most our games are on turf so i go with the cheaper plastic base cleat.

My son started with a small in pw... went to a medium for 2 yrs and now is in a large for the past two years. He's been wearing the riddell youth revolution for the past two years. Those helmets run a little bigger.

My oldest son is a guard... pretty much plays just on offense.

my middle son is a FB and DT... yours?

I bought they're helmets slightly big so they'd be a bit over-sized one year, then fit pretty well the next, then tight the third year. Some kid's heads are big when they're young and their body catches up. There's one kid i know that has had the same helmet for 4-5 years. Just depends on the kid i guess. Others go through helmets pretty fast.

Pretty much same as my kids. My 13 yr old is mainly line on both sides of the ball and my 10 yr old was a QB/DE for 3 yrs and now he's a FB/DE.

Funny thing is my 5 yr old daughter is more athletic than either of my boys. She's blazing fast and has an amazing arm. Her ass is playing football dammit! :)
