If i see a feature on there that i like then im willing to take a chance if the price is right and the artist(s) is from the BAY but i try and find out about the artist(s) before i Pick it up. I havent taken a chance on a new cat i never heard of in a long time cause of the type of shit being put out nowadays...hope that helps you

Either the label or the titles of the songs on the back. If his/her cover looks she like he/she is serious about what they do, then I'll cop it.

You?

Ok, I never knew who killa tay was and bought his 2nd release snake eyes. I gave it a chance because the features looked coo, and what grabbed my attention on his album was the album cover it jumped at me when I was walking by and I took a look at it and the features and bought it.

usually word of mouth if i never heard it before. or i read the song titles and if i see cliche words like: money, fuck, bitches ,drink, killing and shit like that i usually stray away from shit like that cuzz if you cant come out with more original titles than that. yo ass is obviously aint creative and it reflects your music. thats just me though.

i look for an album that has very few features. Price also has to be right.I sometimes like the low budget looking shit too because it tells me that the artist is young and hungry, trying to make a come-up for himself. I also always look to see who produced the album. That for me is the most important key leading to the spending of my hard-earned $$$$'s

i wouldn't do that shit in this day and age. there's nothing that will make me do something like that... i have absolutely no faith in rap music in the 21st century. i have to hear some songs and hear some consistency in all songs before i buy it.

once the game gets normal again (if ever) like it wuz back in 1994-1997, then maybe... but now, no.

I will not buy a CD unless it was highly recommended by a friend I trust, and there's still a chance I won't like it. Maybe that's why I don't buy rap CDs anymore, just too much crap coming out that I don't even trust the genre anymore. Sad but that's how I feel.

Fully agree with SGC~CEO.....

I with you on this one. I havent bought a cd I havent heard in awhile. I learned my lesson too many damn times. I use to buy a cd if it had my fav artists, labels, producers, features, etc. But I lost faith in that. Cant do it anymore. I was sick of taking my cd back to Rasputins and gettin 70% credit back.

X RAIDED-PSYCHO ACTIVE
I picked it up and bought in like 93 because I thought the album cover made it look so gangsta. After I opened it, I didn't like it at all except a few tracks but back in '99 I became a X fan because the reviews on UNFORGIVEN were that his lyrical content was tight. I got up on the whole AWOL camp cuz of features of CBO's albums and that's when I became westcoast crazy outside of PAC & DPG.
