i dont know how i ended up where i did, but they only graduates from optometry school..i had to take a shitload of math tests and a hair sample and they made me sign a promisary note that i would stay wit em, cause they couldnt waste time tryin to teach sumbody and then they quit..but the law recognizes a lens (glasses) manufacturing lab as the healthcare field......so yeah, be a optometrist

youre an optometrist? whodathunkthat....
nah, the actual optometrist sends over the prescription and the lenses have to go thru hella diffrent steps before they are an actual pair of glasses...i just work on one area, testing the power on the lenses, to make sure they are right

I knew RNs made a lot, like 60-80/hr but 250 a year? Where does he work? Lotta overtime or what?
CPMC...charge nurse on the graveyard shift. Plus he works another per diem position somewhere, 2 extra days a week. So 5 days total.

250k a year for an RN? i doubt that man.. 8 years of college, thats surgeon money..

Nope, I've seen the checks man. I've worked with these people for the past 5 years. Not all of them are making that much, just the ones who choose to put in the work.

But one of my coworkers who only works 3 days a week, 12 hour shifts, no other job, no overtime made 120K after taxes. Believe it man these people are getting breaded.

damn thats some serious loot then.

every girl at my school wants to be a damn nurse.. that or dental assistant/dental hygienist.

thats where people fuck up, they go for the job that pays the most loot but they dont even like the job.. end up either quitting or being miserable.

True that.

A lot of people get into it for the money, and job security. But really you won't last long if thats the case...

I'd rather make less, and have a job I don't dread waking up for every morning.

Stay away from the auto industry, pretty obvious at the moment but even when the economy turns back around it's still not cool worryin' about gettin' laid off every few years
