i felt Gryme tho, if you can phrase it right...it can make the difference
but you can't have a lazy flow using normal words...gotta go with the raw scheme

my pen, my only friend, from beginin to end
write my problems out on paper, feelin safe when i bend/
words to mend a bleedin cut, seemingly stuck in the fold
with a heat that cleans the beat need to be tucked in the cold/
never seen peace at least my street it seems you buck and be bold
guns'll be sold, and you had a bunch of luck to be old/
stories are told, they stole and sold rocks, on blocks to get loot
where you might see ya girl wearin some prostitute boots/
lifes shit, and knives are manditory devices
ya eye lids stay peeled, lookin out for the vices/
friends are priceless, and stick by, there's no suprises
and violence is just another daily thing where I live/
it might give ya stress, but i'm impressed i made it this long
die like donald goines, get takin out while makin this song/
without a pot to piss on, i'm shitty with aim
livin a game, gang infested every cities the same/

like that

I agree with Young Moe, you can rhyme whatever words you want as long as the words you put in-between adds a new twist.
you cant hate on every rapper who rhymes the same words together, its all in how you deliver it and your ability to come up with something creative.

on that note, if i ever hear the line "crackin backs like a chiropractor" i'm goin to scream.
that and off the hizzle fa shizzle, etc.

I dont know if anyone already said this one but the most overused phrase is

"I'm high like a kite"

I dont think there is a single rapper that hasnt used that line before.

Well, everyone else has mentioned rhymes, but here's some expressions I get sick of...

"Mama told me it'd be days like this..."

Any chant or hook saying, "to my West Coast niggas, to my East Coast Niggas, to my Down South niggas,' etc.

"Where you at? where you at?"

"What?!?" (or any variation, i.e., "wha-wha-wha-what?")

"Don't start no shit, it won't be no shit..."

PEACE!
