About ANYONE:

"i've got albums ready to drop", "i've recorded over 200 songs in the last month", "i'm gonna be doing a duo/group album with ____", and all that other shit, and then you don't ever see shit from them...as usual.

I mean, if you gone be JT, be JT. But do it RIGHT. Don't just TALK. 1000 copies sold is better than 0 copies sold. You'd think someone's word would be more important than how many units they push, or whether or not distributors are juicing themselves, trying to sign you up..........
Well, I look at it like this: If you're not positive on the release date (or if the CD will even come out at all), just say something like, "I made some songs w/ ________, but nothing's been finalized yet--I can't give you a specific release date yet, but I'll keep you posted." That's better than giving a specific date and not coming through. I don't believe in burning CDs myself (for ethical reasons), and I never will, but I can sort of understand why some people might get frustrated and do so. It seems that pushing back release dates is as American as apple pie for Cali Rap in general.

PEACE!

I wasn't gonna post but...

I don't like when an artists says something like, " The industry is flooded" or "it's too many folks trying to rap and they watering down the music". All I wanna know is who are they talking about??? It seems like they all rap with each other. I don't like every artist from the bay or where ever but I'm not gonna hate on them working on a craft. When you mention some stuff like that SAY THEY NAME OR AT LEAST NOT DO SONGS WITH EVERYONE.

Back in the day the Bay Rapped about the shit they rap about now but back then it was a new type of music and the struggle was real now alot of fake copy cats and anybody with the money to get in the studio are putting out these bullshit cd's with no new message just the same old washed up format..... I hate when people make it seem like Bay rap died in 1993. I go back and listen to some of that stuff and yea 40 was better Mac Dre was better, Too Short was better, but most miss the fuckin point...THOSE FUCKERS ARE HELLA OLD NOW!!! What do you exspect those 40 year old guys to do, keep the game fresh? All them dudes raped about the same shit...getting drunk, fuckin hoes, pushin crackrock and smokin hella trees. The thing is that that is what alot of us grew up on so we will say that that era was the best. just like my grand father thinks Oscar Robertson is better then Jordan and my little cuzzin thinks Labron James is better then Jordan...we all think our period is better then the next persons. I love the old shit, but I love some of the new shit coming up out of the Bay...

I hate when the tracks arent mastered right and it sounds like shit, or every song comes out the speakers with a different punch and velocity behind them... it just sounds thrown together without any effort to make it sound good.
